Darn'it I wished something would happen with our case and it did :crying: the RFE for a translation of his birth certificate. The RFE says this holds up all three applications, but that the I-765 would only take 90 days from the date the RFE is completed. How unlucky!

Well some good news in all this, we got our biometrics appointment for 1/24/08 and the notice is dated after the RFE so I think he can still go the biometrics appt?

Note that according to the online CRIS system, we still have had no touches and it still has the same NOA1 notice status even though we have received an RFE and the Biometrics appointment.

My wife had her biometrics this morning at 10 AM in Atlanta. They took fingerprints for all 10 fingers twice, then full hand prints, electronic signature, and photo. They also asked a few questions...one was "Are you currently working?" to which my wife replied, "No. I don't have permission yet." Overall went smoothly and the whole process took about 55 minutes.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

Thank you for your support everyone. I really appreciate it.

My Mum is going to the hospital tomorrow morning (Enghlish time) to get the death certificate...and then fax it over to me. Hopefully I will get it in time for my 10am appointment. It takes 2 hours to get to the field office....so I will need to have it by 8am at the latest. Luckly there is a 6 hour time difference which will give me a chance to get it in time.

Does anyone know if its possible that I might get my travel document on the same day? If not then i'm screwed as I wont be able to go get it on another day.
