December AOS filers

got another touched today.. but no update.

When we got home today we had our appointment letter!

wow that was fast. Have you had your biometrics yet?

I meant our biometrics appointment, sorry. I wish it would be the interview appointment that quick. But then again, maybe not, I don't know if we've had enough time to establish proof. The biometrics is for 1/24. I'm going to check to see if we can go early. The place is about 90 minutes away. Do you think that's too far to risk a walk-in?

I hope I get another biometrics tomorrow because Im moving friday.. I did however change my address so I dont know.. If I do get one tomorrow I wont be able to go to baltimore so I will try a walk in.. worth a shot

Many people here have walked in. I could have, I waited. The guard said I could have come at any time. If the office is close go for it. Ours was about 2 blocks down from our house. So yea... sucks.

I think i might try with my biometrics letter i initially got that they only did the EAD..

you think if that worked and they sent another I could ignore it?

If they do all of the fingerprints, maybe. You should probably follow up after you walk in, though. On your appointment letter, does it say that it's for EAD? I think mine said for 485.

Just checked, it says it's for 485 and 765. So hopefully we'll only have one appointment.

yeah thats what mine said too but because I got it before my RFE the AOS was suspended so all she could do is the EAD.

might try a walk in today.

Darn'it I wished something would happen with our case and it did the RFE for a translation of his birth certificate. The RFE says this holds up all three applications, but that the I-765 would only take 90 days from the date the RFE is completed. How unlucky!

went to the ASC office and they guy told me that i didnt not require fingerprints for the AOS and should me the code on my letter.. He then gave it to his manager and he came and told me that I have already had them done. Im guessing it was at the consulate.

Huh? I'm confused...all K-1s have a set of fingerprints taken at the consulate...but I understood that during the biometrics another set of prints are taken for the AOS? Now I don't understand. My husband had fingerprints taken (electronically) when he did his K-1 interview, and again at point of entry, so they won't take his fingerprints when we go in for biometrics on 2/1?

I have no clue haha.. the manager just said that my letter said code 2 which is photo only and in his computer it said I already had some done.. I aske for the "FBI Clearance right" and he said yes.
