Received out biometrics letter in the mail today, it's set for January 31. And our case was sent to California on Dec. 26. I've heard that this may mean we won't have an interview. Does anyone know if this is true?

VISA JOURNEY

2/13/2007-Sent I-129F

2/26/2007- NOA1

3/3/2007- Received NOA1 hard copy

5/7/2007- APPROVED!!!

5/17/2007- called uscis...APPROVED MAY 7th!

5/21/2007- NVC received packet

5/23/2007- NVC forwards package to US Embassy in London

6/19/2007- London received packet 3

6/25/2007- Received paper NOA2

6/27/2007- Received packet 4

7/16/2007- Medical at 2:10pm

9/4/2007- Interview London 9:30am...APPROVED!!!

11/11/2007- Wedding date

AOS

12/3/2007- Sent I-485

12/8/2007- Delivered and signed for

12/12/2007- NOA's for all 3 (hard copies received on 12/17)

12/26/2007- Transferred to California

1/3/2008- Biometrics notice in mail

1/31/2008- Biometrics exam 3pm- USCIS Touch

2/2/2008- AP approval and notice sent

2/7/2008- Work card ordered

2/9/2008- Received AP in mail

2/11/2008- Email confirming Work Approval Notice/ Received Work Card

3/26/2008- Finally, a touch :)

3/27/2008- Yet another touch...

7/14/2008- Permanent address registered and welcome packet sent

7/17/2008- I-485 Approval Notice sent

7/21/2008- Received resident card!!!

yes if your case got transverd to CSC office there is a great chance of no interview

( am hoping for a transver too )

Yes, I just read that. I've been reading backwards (or is it forwards?), catching up on what I've missed. Hopefully if they give you another biometrics, they will send you to an office near where you are moving. I guess you should file the change of address with them as soon as possible and keep following up to make sure it's registered. Will someone at your current address hold or forward mail for you?

I hope I hear something this week, and not in the form of another RFE.

yeah I have someone to forward the mail..

I keep waiting to see an update on my case but nothing yet.

That's great! I checked to see if anything shows up for mine and the 485 is in the system! :dance::crying:

None of the other 3 receipt #s are in, but the status shows they received the RFE response so I guess/hope that means they accepted what I sent. Now I feel like we can get somewhere, at least get started.

I called them and I must admit it was a waste of time.

I did all my change of address online today so I hope they send my new biometrics appointment to Texas.

I will call them next week to confirm my change of address.

I got both the NOA's for I-485 and for EAD! Still in the long waiting game with the rest.

How long does it usually take to get a letter for the Biometrics appt. after your NOA's arrive?

i got mine about 4 days later but....

then I got a RFE and when I went for biometrics they only did the EAD one.

Just when you get comfortable....bam! We got a notice that our I-485 was transferred to CSC on 12/26/07. (The EAD/AP is still nowhere in the system, and we don't know anything other than that it was received). We thought the transfer meant no interview.

I just checked my e-mail and on 1/04/08 they e-mailed me to tell me the case was trasfered out of CSC and is pending at the local office.....and since then the case was touched on 1/07/08!?!? :wacko:

AND we still have no biometrics appt letter....I just don't understand.

Well, we received our biometrics letter today, but have yet to be put into the automated system. I guess it keeps me from obsessively checking the status a million times a day. Go USCIS! Way to be consistent and efficient!

UPDATE: Biometrics appt letter received in the mail today for I485 and I765, for 2/1/08. It was sent on 01/04, the same date that they e-mailed me to tell me the case was pending at the local office. Could that mean that we're still at CSC, but its pending at the local office because they scheduled our biometrics notice, not beause its being sent to local office for interview? :unsure:

And our I485 was touched again today 1/8/07. So at least they're looking at our application....
