I'm just going to do a small table top tree this year because I'll be in Germany for Christmas.

I love looking at everyone's lights, but I'm usually pretty frugal about my own decorating. I tend to go with

a lot of ribbons and swags of evergreen instead. Maybe I'm just not creative enough :)

Yours are beautiful. Thanks for sharing them!

Very beautiful! We don't have anything up yet and we're gonna be frugal about the tree and decorations.

Our first Christmas in this house was quiet. But, we went out and bought lights that were up on sale after Christmas. Big savings! What you see here is mostly 3 years of collecting Christmas lights bought on sale

The Christmas tree is decorated with a mix of ornaments made by my husband's mom and bargain ornaments bought on ebay or after Christmas sales. Although I admire the flashy (and designer) trees that you see in stores, I think that homemade ornaments give a Christmas tree the perfect look and feel of the season.

:D Ah, ok. Your tree looks as beautiful as any tree I've seen. Any tips or suggestions on how to make homemade ornaments?

Wow, well done! We haven't started decorating yet. Maybe we'll have a medium-sized Christmas tree, few ornaments, wreath and garlands but not much lights. We're trying to save money too.

Ok everybody....look closely at Gary's second picture.....

Wagers being taken on how long before the cat jumps into the tree.

Also, very cute about Luzy size tree, Gary.

Menards had Scotch Pine trees on sale. 5'-6' for $11. It's a great tree!

My mother usually goes alllllllll out for Christmas in the decorating of the tree. It's about a 10 ft tree or so, and there are countless ornaments. Every ornament has a special meaning...like there's a whole section of the tree dedicated to all the ornaments I bought her while living with D and traveling throughout the EU. Her tree is always a gorgeous sight to behold!

This year, they are doing home renovations and the furniture from two of the rooms is all over the rest of the bottom floor. So, no 'Denisie' tree this year! She got a tree from Bed bath and Beyond...$10 (on sale with a coupon, lol) 4ft fiber optic jobber. No ornaments, just a star uptop...but I did buy her and my dad these two glass flamingo ornaments. They have tropical shirts, sunglasses, and hats on, and they both have a tropical bevvie in their hand. I said 'this is you and Dad' lol

I'll take a piccie of it at some point.

I bought the same tree for my room...it's gonna have piccies of me & D on it and stuff. But I haven't taken it out of the box just yet.
