Required shots for medical?/NVC automatic message

I have read various posts that say people have gotten Hep. B shots, but my husband was told that he did not need that because of his age...What do people know about this?

Also, do the automatic messages at NVC that tell you they have received the DS-230, etc. mean that the forms are problem-free, or could there still be issues?

Thanks!

Hi Aussie,

Basically they are:

Tetanus

Diphtheria

Mumps

Measles

German Measles (Rubella)

Chickenpox

Only people 19 yrs of age and younger require the H-B vaccine. You can see the vaccination chart here.

I posted this in the Canada forum the other day for confirmation.

And yes, even though they say they have received the documents it doesn't mean that anyone has actually looked at them. You can always call and speak with an operator though to see if it looks like they have everything they need.

Out of curiosity where did your Husband get his vaccination records from (just wondering as my Husband is Australian and we were unable to get any).

All Claudeth had to have when she did her medical was MMR. she was supposed to also have a tetanus but they didn't have it at St. Lukes.

I see--thanks! He told me that he told the quack that he didn't have records of the vacc. I don't know what they are doing exactly...still, the doc. seemed satisfied. We'll see...

Congrats, by the way, on makng some progress.

I actually got the DS-230 in before my AOS because I generated the former. Still have not received it by snail mail, so am glad I did. The AOS arrived late, but at least it arrived! They have been pretty fast in processing things once they get them, so I am crossing my fingers.
