Hello, all! I plan on flying my fiance in this January 18. She has her K1 visa but still needs to attend her CFO. I went to the website and saw this:

<< 1. Original valid passport;

2. Original and photocopy of visa;

3. One (1) 2x2 or passport-size photograph;

4. One (1) valid identification card with photograph;

5. Original and photocopy of Confirmation of Permanent Residence (for CANADA-bound emigrant);

6. Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary (for USA bound emigrant);

7. Original and photocopy of the Embassy Certification of Eligibility (for Spain bound C visa holders);

8. Original and photocopy of letter of approval for Work to Residence visa (for New Zealand bound emigrants);

9. Photocopy of employment contract(for immigrant workers);

10. Duly completed registration form (downloadable at www.cfo.gov.ph);

11. Payment of P400.00 registration fee ; and

12. Attendance in the PDOS or peer counseling session;>>

My questions:

Photocopy of visa? From what she told me, she received her visa in an unopened envelope that was supposed to stay unopened until her port of entry in the US in which US officials would then open it so how can she have a photocopy of her visa? I'm confused.

Also, does she get her CFO approval stamp/sticker right at the CFO? She was planning on going this week.

Please answer these questions. Thank you!

I'm planning marriage to her this January 28th, our two year anniversary!

December 5, 2005: We met online and our lives changed--instant connection, became best friends

May 15, 2006: She is put on temporary hold from her job and asks me if I could hold on for her in the event she didn't get the job back. I said "yes, of course" and she finally proclaimed her love to me and admitted she'd loved me since February.

September 25, 2006: I land in Manila airport and rush into my baby's arms for the first time. We were both surprised to realise we were NOT nervous.

September 25, 2006: Our first kiss :P

September 27, 2006: I proposed to her in person and she accepted! :)

December 20, 2006: Mailed I-129 K1 petition to Texas service Center

January 15, 2007: Petition returned to me rejected :/ (placed wrong amount on check--duh!)

Febrary 10, 2007: Resubmitted the petition adding updated info pages and a CORRECT check

February 26, 2007: NOA1

May 28, 2007: I land in Manila on our anniversary and we feel whole and complete yet again :)

June 20, 2007: NOA2 which said it would take six months for an interview (Dunno why it said that)

August 4, 2007: My baby receives Packet 4 unexpectedly out of nowhere--the frantic cramming begins

August 23, 2007: Frantically prepared documents FedExed

August 30, 2007: My baby has a long two days at St. Lukes but checks out fine! :)

September 6, 2007: Interview date: after 8 agonising hours--APPROVED!!! :D

September 6, 2007: Plans for her arrival in January 2008 for our wedding are established! :)

January 28, 2008: Marriage

Yes! The visa is in sticked to the passport...

Regarding about first come first serve basis... Actually Johna and I attended the seminar together. what she meant about is that you have to come there early because only 15 people are allowed to attend the seminar. Like in St. Mary's in Cebu we went there early around 7:30am but the seminar started around 10:00am but when we go there we wrote our name in the paper that they put on the door as our attendance and they will call your name as they let you in and by giving your form....

Its not that long our seminar starts 10:00am but we were done around 2:00pm and done with our CFO stamped before 3:00pm

Good luck!!

I'm planning marriage to her this January 28th, our two year anniversary!

Her Visa is attached to her passport and it can be photocopied. The sealed brown envelope is the Visa packet, it can't be opened.

She will take the counseling at either PRISM or SMEF-COW and get the sticker at CFO office. Please note that SMEF-COW at Quezon City has CFO extension Office at their compound, if you go there you don't have to go to CFO main office to get the sticker.

Thanks so much, guys! :)

God bless you all and this forum! You people make me feel good going through this process.

It's hard to believe my baby is coming home in 47 days! This is her first time to America and she's nervous. I'm dying to have her in my arms for good. I endured TWO painful separations from her (leaving her on my first trip to go home and my second trip). I won't feel whole again until she's safely nestled in my arms for good. :)

I'm sure there are answers to this but I need help on this right away! My fiance is stressing to the gills about this. Someone please help me.

I have a question about this requirements list:

<< 1. Original valid passport;

2. Original and photocopy of visa;

3. One (1) 2x2 or passport-size photograph;

4. One (1) valid identification card with photograph;

5. Original and photocopy of Confirmation of Permanent Residence (for CANADA-bound emigrant);

6. Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary (for USA bound emigrant);

7. Original and photocopy of the Embassy Certification of Eligibility (for Spain bound C visa holders);

8. Original and photocopy of letter of approval for Work to Residence visa (for New Zealand bound emigrants);

9. Photocopy of employment contract(for immigrant workers);

10. Duly completed registration form (downloadable at www.cfo.gov.ph);

11. Payment of P400.00 registration fee ; and

12. Attendance in the PDOS or peer counseling session;>>

What is the Immigrant Data Summary???? :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: I must have missed this when I read the list the first time. Just what is this thing, how and where does she get it, and is it too late for her to get it now?

Also...."Duly completed registration form". She HAS to get this online? I thought she fills this out at the CFO?

I'm confused and stressed now. Please help. :unsure:

Immigrant Data Summary is only for CR1/IR1 filer but if you are k3 and k1 filer you dont need to have that Immigrant Data Summary and dont worry about the registration form they will give you on the day of the seminar..
