1. my husband's father does not have a date or month of his birthdate, he has just the year in his birth document. so should we put just the year? will this cause a hiccup in paperwork?

2: Evidence of a bonafide marriage:

- Affidavits sworn: should the persons showed in our marriage certificate be enough as Affidavits sworn? or do we still need some people from his family to write letters for us to prove that?

Is this enough to prove a bonafide marriage?

Should we ask a few people who were present at the wedding to write letters?

3. common residence: we stayed in the same house all the time during morocco, how can we prove that?

does that qualify as a common residence? or do we have to rent/lease/buy a home together for it qualify as common residence?

4. how can i file and send the form i-130 and I-129F together at the same time if everywhere i read says to wait for the NOA and send it with the I-129F?

5. Sponsor:

do they need to own their own home? or if their income meets the 125% do they need other assets?

which document should my co-sponsor fill out, and he is a lawful Lawful Permanent Resident in a different state... is that acceptable? or does it have to be a US citizen?

besides my spouse's affidavit of support how many cosponsors can we have.... just one other sponsor besides my spouse or is more allowed?

example: US spouse and 2 co-sponsors..... is that possible?

I am just beginning this... and these are the questions we have so far... sorry lol

All we sent in as proof was our marriage certificate with a certified translation. Translation? $3, but since we needed it for the future interview we used one from the local Embassy list.

We didnt send in any of that affidavit BS, not a single photo, or anything else. They didnt ask. They will at the interview, we have enough wedding pics to bore the consul officer to death.

On the "Last shared address" line? I laughed and wrote "see line # (i cant remember, but I referenced her address in Jakarta, put dates 06/02-06/15/07) then put Waiting on K3 Visa to share address.

The beneficiary's parents information goes in the G325A, dont leave any of that out

My wife's parents names, but not dates of birth, are not on her birth certificate, it must have been ok.

I sent in BOTH of our identifications, birth certificate for her (translated and copy of original) and passport for her (it's in both languages). Sent in my passport (all pages) plus copy of my birth certificate. I guess I got a smart immigration officer cuz my passport showed i was in Indonesia on the date my marriage book said our ceremony took place.

I did not send in her original G325A. She filled it out, signed it, scanned it, and emailed it to me. Because of the + signs, I filled out the supplemental sheet for things like employers address, and I signed/dated it myself.

I've had my I134 already checked by the embassy. They want (1) year, 2006 copy of tax return AND W2.

My suggestion, if you have a sponsor fill out an I134 on behalf of your beneficiary, then they want (1) year tax return with the associated W2's etc. Thats all.

These others who send all this extra stuff are part of the paperwork holdup at the service centers.

Best of luck to you,

David and Nitadyah

First of all....Congrats on your marriage!!!!

I will be starting the same process very soon, so I dont have any input from experience yet. :)

I do know that I have read that your spouse cannot be a co-sponsor on the affidavit of support.

Also, Im going to send as many affidavits from witnesses and family as possible.

Also, you dont send the 130 and 129 together perse, but as soon as you get that NOA, you send it in with the 129. Please read the thread in the ME/NA forum about a lady who just got her K3 kicked out because of filing times (she is now filing for CR-1).. I was confused by this and it appears that filing for a k3 isnt as easy as it appears. :(

Good luck with everything and I wish you and your new husband a happy life together!

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
