Hello Friends,

I just wanted to know if there is an wait time to leave the Philippines after the visa is issued and delivered to the beneficiary. I plan on flying over to the Philippines to be with Mercy during the interview and once we receive the visa, book her flight with me to travel back to the US and any last minute good byes and well wishes, has anyone experienced any delays associated with the beneficiary leaving the her country soon after the is delivered.

I know I repeated my question twice in the above paragraph. I just wanted to know for certain that she will be traveling with me. I scheduled two weeks of vacation in order for me to be with her during the interview and to fly with her to the US. If anyone knows or has had any issues with leaving the Philippines like this, please respond and give me a heads up.

I would appreciate this greatly and I know she will to cause she is planning on flying back with me and not having to fly alone since this will be her first time flying and going thru customs and immigration which at times can be intimidating.

Best wishes to everyone,,

Jim and Mercy

There is no waiting period after the visa is delivered. HOWEVER, the beneficiary must complete the CFO requirement to attend the guidance and counseling seminar AND receive the CFO sticker within the visa/passport before traveling abroad as fiancé(e)s and spouses of a foreign national. Please reference Section 6.2 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide.

Have her do the CFO seminar part prior to her interview if she hasn't done so already.

That way she only needs to get the CFO sticker after she has visa in hand.

Also you have a good chance of being able to pick up the visa if you request such at the interview instead of waiting for Delbros to deliver it

!! ALL PAU!

Hello Sheriff,

she has already completed her CFO earlier in November. She has already done her medical and complete on 11-27-07. Our interview is 1-9-07. This was just a question that one of my friends had presented to me via a filipina (fiancee). She was thinking there was a waiting period where the beneficiary had to wait. Maybe this is because she had to schedule her CFO. Anyway,, I appreciate your information as it relieved my mind. This has been a long wait for both of us and I would hate to have a disappointment for both of us but more especially for her cause this has been tough on her. Thanks again and Happiest of Holidays and a prosperous New Year.

I just want to make sure that I'm on the same page as you are... Your beloved has completed the Guidance and Counseling Seminar and should have received the Guidance and Counseling Certificate. However, she still can not travel abroad until she takes the Guidance and Counseling Certificate to the CFO along with her visa to obtain the CFO sticker within the visa/passport, after it's delivered by USE via Delbros. Besides getting this done, she is free and clear to travel abroad to begin her new and wonderful life with you.

Cheers!!!

THE CFO sticker is only affixed in her passport once your fiancee has her K-1 visa.

"After receipt of the passport and visa, the Filipino spouses and other partners of foreign nationals will have to register with CFO prior to their departure. Registration is done either in CFO Manila or Cebu Extension Office, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. An emigrant registration sticker is affixed to the emigrants passport as proof of registration."

Hello Friends,

thanks for the info again. Like I said she has taken the CFO Seminar, where she received her certificate and also,we know that once we receive the visa, we have to go back to the CFO location in Manila to get the sticker. We will request to pick up the visa at the USE to make sure we are assured the time alloted for our itinerary. Best of thanks to all the gave the important information as this has relieved some stress from me.

Best Wishes!!

Jim and Mercy
