Hi all,

I just got the packet 3 today, and I am so confused about the instructions they give me.

1. "Step 2 : Please complete, but do not sign, form DS230 Part 1, form DS156K and the Electronic Visa Application Form online http://evisaforms.state.gov Return all forms to the consulate. Please note that the EVAF must be submitted the original and one Xeroxed copy. "

What is the Electronic Visa Application Form ( EVAF) ? Is handwriting acceptable?

2. "Please sign form DS2001-HNK and the Document Checklist and return them to this office when you have obtained all the required documents for the visa interview."

Will they send me another packet (packet 4) so I can get the medical exam and police certificate done? Or I can finish them with the packet 3?

3. "Notification of applicant readliness"

When should I send the above form to the US consulate? Can I sign and send this to them right away even though the medical exam and the police certificate aren't ready yet?

4. Do I have to send them the packet 3 with all the forms ( DS230 Part 1, DS156, DS156K.. ) If so, original or copies ? Or just bring them with me for the interview?

I really don't know what I should send them so they can schedule me an interview date.. :( can anyone please kindly let me know what I should do now?

Thanks a million!

-Yuki

I am going to reply you only about the EVAF. This electronic form is for the DS230, you have to fill it online, not handwriting, because it will give you a bar code that is going to be scanned at the consulate for easy entry of data. Do not sign, you will have to sign it in the consulate.

Try to read some experiences from your embassy, (It is a the top with the title Embassy Info), you can find the same pattern of questions for your embassy.
