I can't say with certainty whether I would share details of a denial publicly on VJ or not, since I haven't lived through it myself, but I probably would share anonymously, if at all. It's a very personal decision. I respect those who have shared publicly and those who have chosen not to share. Everyone has to make their way through that trial in the way that's best for them. Wouldn't be my place to question how publicly they choose to do that, especially since our process has hardly had a bump.

I'm the USC.

What you would or would post here, Sarah, is a decision you are free to make at any time. Please remember that others are also allowed to freely decide what they wish to post or withhold about their visa process. That's the beauty of freedom on a public board.

Have a great day!

I agree with you. Everyone has their own comfort level with sharing personal details, and I don't blame anyone for not wanting to put out identifying info (like their name or their pic, their employer, etc.) on the net.

But as you said, there are certainly easy ways to provide the info anonymously. Thanks God there are people who *do* share the info for those who come after. I got a lot of help thanks to the sharing members on this site, and I know ALL of our other members benefit from it, whether they participate in the sharing or not.

This reminds me -- some of our members deserve a very special thank you. I would take this opportunity to give massive kudos to Kiya, Chiquita, and Visa in Hand for their hard work in getting information, assistance, advice, and especially moral support to couples who are facing the heartbreak and hardship of a returned case. Each of these members personally went through this ordeal, and they could have just kept everything they learned all to themselves, leaving everyone who came after to struggle through it alone in the dark, all from scratch. But instead, they're still here, sharing info and helping others. God bless you guys !!

I agree that it is a personal choice what to share here and I certainly respect and honor a person's choice..however for me (even though I found this site after filing my I129F) I would be totally lost w/o the guidance and support I have found here on VJ. I believe that there is something to gain from everyone's story here...IMHO....how is that for a social workery response

It's got to be someone's personal decision. But I do think that sharing news, even when it's bad, should be encouraged, both for the helpful information (like Kiya and chi) people can provide to others in the same boat, and in some cases to serve as a warning. I think there's a lot of pain that could be prevented if the 'Effects of Major Changes on Immigration Benefits' section were required reading.

Garsh...thx!

I can understand why people won't post when they have problems, it is all a personal decision.

Perhaps for those who want to remain anonomous they can make a fake name and enter their timeline. Then on the account they use just leave blank. It is everyones right to post what they want, but it did help me to follow someone elses timeline. At least until the denial. I still think it is important to enter a timeline even for the denial so others will have an idea of what they are up against. I just don't think we have the right to force this on everyone. I am an open book so for me its no biggie, but to each his own.

Charles put that popcorn down, it doesn't look like the show is on today. (Give it a few days, I am sure we will have another showing soon).

Even if I was denied, I would share my process with others. :) I wouldn't feel embarassed or ashamed of denial.

One other note, Sarah is right, there is no reason to be embarassed or ashamed if they got denied. How can we help you if we don't know you need us?

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

Well we definitely don't agree when it comes to politics... But I totally agree with you here!

I don't really see why we need a thread for people to proclaim how they think they would act in a hypothetical situation.
