Hello! I am hoping someone can give me some advice.....ease my mind....or pretty much anything at this point:

I sent in the I-130 for my husbands K-3 Visa, the last Saturday of October. I received the return receipt, and it was stamped 11/05/07. However, we still have not received the NOA 1!!

When I call or go on the USCIS website, they just state there is a delay, due to the excessive number of applications. It also states, that if your receipt date is prior to 11/12 to call. I call, and cannot get a h-u-m-a-n! I just get transferred from recording to recording.

Any idea how to find out the status of the NOA 1, or how long it is taking?

Any help or advice is GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

Welcome to the club! Ours was received on Aug 29 and we still do not have an NOA1. They received so many applications due to the fee increase that they are severly behind. I talked to an immigration officer yesterday and was told my app was probably in a box in a mailroom. It's gonna take a while so put on your patience hat. :)

I don't understand where you are getting this information from that says "if your receipt date is prior to 11/12 to call." Are you sure you are checking the receipt delay notices? Vermont is at 7/29 and I believe California is at 8/30. Also, a K-3 visa is the I-129f, not the I-130. Which one did you file?

Hey guys,

I sent my I-130 to TSC on 11/08 (recieved 11/13) and I also haven't received the NOA1 yet. I checked the bank and the check hasn't been cleared either. On the USCIS website, they've put up some processing times up on a webpage that seems to be updated once a week:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

TSC seems up-to-date as of 11/30, so shouldn't I have received the NOA1 by now?

That would be negative since Texas does not process I-130's or I-129's they go off to CSC and then you wait. PERIOD!

Good luck and cheers

Also please do your timeline as it helps other members track your dates. Thanks again.

Dodson01, to file a K3 the directions tell you to file the I-130 and then to file the I-129f with a copy of the I-130 I-797c or (NOA1). Filing a I-129f only is for a K1 visa.

Anyway, the receipt problems started back in April of this year. The increase in petitions from the fee increase is excuse number 3 this year for delays in receipting. There is not much you can do except wait and check to see if your check has cleared. Patience is hard.
