I just got off the phone with a supervisor at NVC - she told me that all our paperwork has been reviewed, it's all in order and now we just wait for the file to be transferred to whatever department sets up the interviews.

I actually had to ask - 'so the case is complete' - she said 'yes' - but then said the stuff about transferring it to the department where they schedule the interviews and that they never give them as many interview slots as they need (which I already know of course because Montreal generally takes 4-6 months to get an interview).

Anyway, I'm rambling, I'm just finding it hard to believe I guess

Awsome! Congratulations!

Thanks for the congrats everyone and good luck to all of you waiting!

Endless, I posted in your other topic the other day outlining the review process we went through here

Basically with ours it was just a matter of the supervisor moving it along as it appeared to be stuck and hadn't been sent for a final review yet, so a bit different than yours, however as you will see it took between 10-17 days (depends on who you speak to :) )

Basically:

Nov 13th - Spoke with NVC operator, asked for the file to be escalated as all the documents has been in place since October 9th.

Called every other day - no change, confirmed it had been escalated - told by the operator that someone was 'looking at it'

Nov 21st - Told by operator that it has been sent for final review on Nov 19th

Nov 26th - Called and spoke with a supervisor, she said it had actually made it to the department that does the final review on Nov 26th at 1:00 p.m..

Nov 29th - Called the same supervisor - she followed up and when I spoke to her on Friday the 30th she told me the review was complete and it would now be sent for interview scheduling.

So 16 days from escalation to case complete, but I think really 3 days in 'review'.

Just a hint, I hope you got the supervisors name as I think it is kind of helpful if you speak with the same person, in my opinion.

Hope this helps!

I reached an operator every time I needed to. (I've probably spoken to 20!). I would redial and redial until I got through. I've called at all different times of the day, generally not at night.

I would say I have never had to redial more than 6-7 times before getting through.

That's really great! #######!

Now another journey just started and we all need to be very very patient.....

April 28 2007 sent I-130 to NVC

May 22 2007 application transfered to CSC

July 11 2007 received NOA1, decide to apply CR1 instead of K3

Aug 14 2007 touched (not sure if it is touched before Aug 14)

Aug 21 2007 NOA2 in snail mail :)

Aug 27 2007 NVC received our case, number is assigned.

Sep 11 2007 DS3032 and AOS bill generated and mailed out

Sep 12 2007 mailed out DS3032 from Canada and hubby mailed AOS bill in US. DS3032 will arrive NVC 3 days slower than AOS bill.

Sep 18 2007 Auto msg says NVC received DS3032, didn't mention AOS bill yet.

Sep 24 2007 IV fee bill generated

Oct 8 received IV fee bill. Still waiting for 864form

Oct 13 received 864form letter. It was issued on Sep 24 at NVC. Mailed out 864 on Oct 15

NVC agent said they don't receive IV fee bill nor 864. Send out IV fee bill again end of Oct.

Nov 8 IV fee bill entered to system

Nov 12 DS230 generated. But agent still said 864 is not received yet.

Nov 20 resend out 864 again(Hubby forgot to write case number on documents last time)

Nov 27 NVC Auto message said received 864, now waiting for 230

Nov 29 230 delivered. Will arrive at NVC next day.

Dec 3 NVC received 230 and put into its system

Dec 13 NVC operator told us the case is in administrative process.

Dec 14 Called operator again, and magically the case is completed!

Hey, thanks for your reply... I've been gone for a couple of days :)

Well, friday Dec 7, my wife called and they said that the case had been finally completed on Dec 5th. I hope this time they will not change their minds again...

Well, they also said to call by the second week of december (this week) to see if the interview has been scheduled for dec ( I doubt it will be). Does anyone know on which day exactly they decide the interview date?

Man, I'm so depressed lately, it looks like we are not gonna spend Christmas together and not even our 1st anniversary... our kid is getting so big and I'm missing out so much... I really hope the end is close 'cause I'm going nuts!

Hi endless,

Great to hear your case is complete (again!). Generally they schedule the interviews this week (2nd week of the month) for NVC appointment processing posts.

A couple of people in the Canada forum called this morning and they have been scheduled, I called, nothing for us yet. Anyway it depends how patient you are, you can call every day to check :)

That said, I have also seen them schedule after the 2nd week. Have also heard people say they called and were told scheduling was complete for the month, then they call back the following week and have an interview date.

I'm really sorry that you are probably going to miss xmas/New Years/anniversary with your family this year, but I think the worst has to be being away from your child!!

I hope you will focus on the end result here, you are so close now to the interview and soon this will all just be a bad memory and you and your family will have years and years and yearssss of happy times together.
