I am also fairly new here, and for the first couple of months I mostly have been observing things that are said. One thing I dislike about site is when someone asks something for example "I am not getting along with my husband/wife, I have been here for a year, what do I do and can I still stay here" The first few people give real advice such as go see a lawyer or go to counseling but then after that it turns into some people trying to figure out what is "REALLY" going on and if this person didn't come here for love but simply to gain US citizenship. Now I don't know about you guys but I hate to see this happen. I'm not saying it happens all the time or that everyone says these things but to me it clearly does happen. I just don't like to see that. I use this site, as I have said to gather information and ask questions about the K-1 process or cultural differences etc. I realize that people are entitled to their own opinion, but I think that sometimes it really is better to keep those thoughts to yourself as they truly can be hurtful. I'm not trying to be over sensitive, I agree that this forum is to express your thoughts and opinions also, and I do enjoy reading people's opinions on different issues.

This is just an observation I have made about this site, I'm sure people will disagree with me but that's normal and that's what keeps things interesting!

This site is very helpful for me and thank you to everyone who has helped me!

Have you ever stopped to think why it is you feel this way wherever you go? Perhaps it is something from within rather than external. Why do you feel like an outsider? Most people here are in similar, if not the same, situations. Your post itself comes across as bitter.

We should all sugarcoat what we say, think or feel so NO ONE feels like an outsider. How about that?

Have we met? Do I know you? What would you know about how I feel EVERYWHERE I go? Is it that you tend to surface EVERYWHERE I go? Could it be perhaps, that you are the very reason I feel this way? Could it be that you are the same, evil, spiteful, vindictive and manipulative person who sent me the terrible messages telling me what a fool I am for loving my man? The one who said "Oh, well, you can just forget that relationship." after learning that his visa was denied? Or the one who spreads vicious gossip about me to others here and in yahoo groups claiming to know the innermost secrets of my life and my relationship?

If you are this person, then HELL yes I am bittter. Better yet, I am pretty damn mad! I came here in an attempt to learn from and bond with other women whom I thought shared similar situations/struggles, and such but instead I found many who pretended to befriend me but in actuality pitied me, and found my trials an object for their amusement. That, I believe, justifies my bitterness, so if the shoe fits........

this whole thread is sad... why keep up the chaos and drama? i have only seen where people were trying to offer support... i don't know about what goes on behind the scenes... but i think that if there was any ego's clashing... then that should be done through pm's... and not here on the forums to include everybody... and to lump us all together as one unit...

my posts do not represent what someone else thinks and feels... it is only my own thoughts and feelings...

ps: i think that this thread should just be closed or dropped... nothing good will come of it to just keep trashing each other...

Me too. (Sorry for previous post, my shock got the best of me.) I don't like stuff like this. We are here on this forum (I think) to try to cope with dizzying and difficult visa process.
