Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

I carry mine. I almost never leave the house except to go to my fake job on Thursday mornings. I haven't managed to acquire a paid job since getting the EAD, although I have begun applying.

I used to carry my SIN card when I was in Canada, too. Can't remember what prompted that. I do remember that from the time I was 16 until the time I was about 36, my mother had the card. Don't remember why she gave it back to me.

Yes, I read that I shouldn't carry the flimsy little SSC.

Yes, I memorised the number within about 6 or 7 seconds.

(familiar area code - repeated digit - nearly my mother's 'phone number---really easy)

Despite an affinity for memorising sets of numbers, I still feel that I might not know it if asked.
