Sorry. It's a suggestion for us to have that option here. Friendster offers the option to keep some or all of your photos you post private, while giving you the ability to decide who has permission to see those photos. :)

Not currently, so I'm suggesting to Capt. Ewok, to make this option available. :)

Please don't think I am knocking your idea Steve, just thought I'd add in a thought or two. :)

It seems like it'd be a really big thing for Ewok to do. I don't know since I am not a comp programmer or anything, hubby is but not me! I guess Ewok can answer that!

I have a photobucket account and a shutterfly account and have them password protected so only people I want can see the pics. If someone wants to show some fellow VJers pics but only wants certain ppl seeing them, I think it'd be better if they PM'd them with a link and password, and then also they wouldn't be publicly saying they have pics online. It seems like it'd be a big task to add that feature to VJ when it can be used on many other sites with a link sent to friends.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

:) Stina, you are one of the most level headed persons on here and always kind to all... I always appreciate your posts. (L)

I think it's fairly easy to make the option available. I realize that people can use other photo sites, but since we do have the ability to post them here, I think it would put a lot of people's minds at ease who are apprehensive about posting their pics here, given the history and that we have many unknown 'lurkers' coming to this site. :)

Without a bunch of hacking this would likely not be fast. I know what I would do to make it work (your photos only viewable by people in your friends list) but it would require custom hacks that I would write and then have to maintain as the gallery is otherwise updated... which becomes problematic. Sorry. :(

I am an Ewok. I am here to to keep the peace. Please contact me if you have a problem with the site or a complaint regarding a violation of the Terms of Service. For the fastest response please use the 'Contact Us' page to contact me.

Ah, it's ok. Thanks for at least considering it.:thumbs:

No probs! :) For areas of the site that are custom coded entirely (reviews, embassy/consulate info, portals, timeline, etc) I can make any change you want pretty easily.

Perfect sense here Stina...

I think some of VJ already has enough on it...now we post youtubes, we have myspace-esque friends lists, comment boxes, etc....I've even heard a person or two ask for music on their homepages. Too much complication and reinvention of the wheel, imo....your solution is perfect.

Share with whom you want, don't with whom you don't.

I told you that one of your ideas would be a hit. Unfortunately, the problematics tank this one, but as I've written before... keep'em coming because you are a great out of the box thinker (except when it comes to illegal aliens). :P
