i remember seeing this particular invention in the news several years ago, it was supposedly designed due to women in africa being raped. i don't see it being common in the usa. i still hold that the best anti-rape invention was made by smith and wesson.

The idea is clever but I don't think it is all that realistic. You have to have in inserted in order for it to work- and I can assume walking around with that thing up inside constantly will not be fun.

If you don't feel safe, take your money and take some self defense classes, or get a weapon and know how to use it.

I don't know one average woman that "thinks" she will be raped today. And, I certainly don't see women just shoving that thing in their sacred of sacreds every single time they go out in public as they "might" be raped. It is useless otherwise, you can't predict violent crime.

Personally, I think the penalty for rape (in some cases) needs to be stiffer (sorry could not help that.) Stick it where it is not welcomed and lose it. First time offender gets it cut in half. I doubt there would be a second time.
