NVC impossible to reach, for interview, Montreal

8 weeks, they say on the automated system, to wait after completion at NVC; so, this is soon, and hubby can not reach anybody other than the automated system.

What are the good hours where there might be a chance to speak to a human entity there?

Or, i was thinking to tell him to e-mail them, stating that's impossible to reach them otherwise. I heard e-mailing will also result in no answer. Or tu put back on track the dear senator that was soo professional and very helpful!

Any othere ideas?

There were numerous times that I had to call and call and call and call and not give up for an hour before I got through to an operator. Just keep hitting Redial on the phone like you're a crazed gambler. You will get through eventually.

No one there EVER answers the phones. Apparently, back when they did answer the agent who commonly answered wasn't very nice or helpful.

If you email them, you may or may not get a reply, my husband did and I did not. I think it depends on what you ask them and how generic and easy the question is to answer.

Helping a friend with his K1 and had him have his senator call NVC. Found out the next day.

ditto - I never called for an hour, probably calling 10 times was the maximum I ever had to call, but it's just persistance, I like the crazed gambler analogy lol

Call, call, call, and then call some more. I think however that MTL is not answering phones, so you might be better off emailing them (which they are not that efficient in responding either ).

Ok girls and guys, as promised elsewhere, my hubby called the authority in question and he got news of what's going on at NVC: they have few hundreds now waiting to be scheduled. We'll have some info about our case as well, they'll let us know.

Now another question arises: how many they schedule per week, or month, etc...Anyone knows? I tried to remember of what i've read on here, gatther the small pieces of info, but still couldn't come to a number...

We already have been on the menu of another backlog at USCIS, so this is pretty much more than difficult now...

When my congressman called on November 14 or so.. they said that there was over 600 of us waiting for dates in Montreal

I called last night after 1130pm and was transferred to the operator and someone picked up immediately. I guess it may be beginner's luck.
