I don't have mine in my avatar cause I am kind of computer illiterate and can't figure out how to resize it for the life of me. I do have it in my signature cause I just love that picture of us.

Some people that I met on this web site and on another forum have told me all sorts of stories of why they don't post the pictures. One of my favorites is that they "are private". Give me a break.......they chatter on and on about every aspect of their lives; but are private in pictorial terms? Whatever. I think some are afraid their SO's will be recognized by someone else on the web and they'll hear something they may not want to know about them. It happened on this very site not a few months ago. I recognized a friend of mine from another site.....her boyfriend. He was the fiance of someone on here. All from the posted pictures.

Interesting story jomo's girl!I wish I have a wedding photo with my wedding gown too...and I'll be proud of showing it all to you if I have one.That's a very nice wedding remembrance of yours.Nice couple!

I've had pics of us as my avatar but after being on VJ for too long now, I just pick random pics to use. But I have pics on my profile page and in the gallery.

but what's the difference between a forum and a I dunno, social network.. I bet a lot of people who say they dont like displaying pics online (not specific people from here, but in general), have their pics on myspace, or hi5, or facebook.. so what's the difference? I don't have mine here cuz I'm lazy to cut and resize my pic....

but what are people afraid of? what can they do their pic? draw a goatee? put a cokc next to it? lol..

I can understand people not wanting to post a pic, maybe for different reasons.

But in my opinion, the same thing(misuse of a pic) can happen just by walking around in public. We are encountering very strange people sometimes when we go out in the world, who could have hidden cameras taking pictures of all of us and can do weird things with those pics too...so why is there extra paranoia about putting it on a website? I guess it's easier for people to steal it that way, but your neighbor could be taking secret pics of you every day you walk outside your house. :hehe: Should you walk around in a hood and robe, just in case? :P I think people have to be smart about it. Teenagers shouldn't post racy pics of themselves on the net, nor should anyone, that's idiotic.

There was an issue last year with pictures being taken and used on another web site without that person's permission. Many do not post their pics here, or anywhere on the internet for that matter, for that reason.

I only added my pic here yesterday... I do it once and a while... and then I take it down.

BTW JenT, I love your wedding pic! You guys look great!
