Hey all - thanks for all the encouragment and help throughout this process. It started just a little under a year ago when we submitted our k1 visa petition and today I have become a perm resident (ok - its conditional but it means no USCIS for 2 years). The interview was at 3pm in Tucson. I left college early and found my way there and waited in the car in the parking lot for my husband. 2.50 came and he still hadnt arrived. I called him and he was lost! I could not believe it! At 2.55 I went into the building and shamefully admited that my husband was lost and wasnt here yet! They were all so nice! I couldnt believe it! The lady who was doing the interview said that we could wait until 3.30 and if he hadnt turned up then we could reschedule again for tomoro! Anyway he finally arrived at 3.10pm and she led us to her office and made us swear we're telling the truth yadda yadda. So we sat down and she just flipped through the huge file she had from all the things i had sent in with the k1 etc and we started chatting about our new puppy. She asked if we had been married before and if we had any children. She then confirmed our address and asked if it was a secure place to receive mail which we answered yep. She then asked to see the photos we had in our hands (it seemed more out of interest than anything) and just casually asked us about how we met and about jamals time in the uk. She then said 'I'm gonna approve you today - so you should receive the greencard in about 1 week. So your done now!!' and she smiled. She gave us some info about lifting the conditions and i asked if my name had cleared the FBI name check and she told me yes - a long time ago!! And that was it! She didnt ask to see anything except the photos - and we had all this evidence! what a waste of paper!! lol!! I just got home and i have already received the email from CRIS saying that card production has been ordered!! YEY!!!
