A total case of form blindness :(

We included 2004, 2005 and 2006 tax forms, included W2 for 2004 and 2005....but forgot the 2006 W2

RFE states: "The petitioner/sponsor on form I864 affidavit of support, submitted w-2s with form I1864 however, the w-2s were for a prior tax year.

In order to process your application further, submit supporting federal tax documents for the most recent year"

I was fearing an RFE because we sent only one copy of the birth certificaté + english translation, but no mention to the birth certificate.

The letter also states "include this letter with your response"

I'm looking for sugestions on the best way to answer this:

1*Send 2006 W2+ RFE letter

2*Send 2006, 2005, 2004 W2 + RFE letter

3*Send 2006, 2005, 2004 W2 + another copy of birth certificate + RFE letter

4*Send 2006 W2 + another copy of birth certificate

Also looking for some suggested wording to explain the extra copy of the birth certificate (if applicable)

Thanks in advance!

Saludos,

Caro

Caro,

Am sorry to hear this - but you're here so the waiting isn't so bad.

Send the requested W-2(s) (and any other supporting documents if any were used) along with the RFE notice (the original, make and keep a copy for your records). You can make a short cover letter if you like (it's always nice) but not necessary. (But only for the year they asked for.)

Don't include things they didn't ask for (i.e., birth certificate).

Yeah, Justin was of the idea to send only the W2 for 2006 too, I was the one pushing for showering the adjudicator extra papers

Well, tomorrow morning, it's off to the post office again

Thank you Karin, Lenina and Nowmrs (F) You girls are the best

Saludos,

Caro

Well, at least it's not for something major right! I agree with the others on this one, don't send more than what they ask! Chin up!

Yep, good luck
