yes, the NOA2 means that the petition for the K3 (I-129F) has been approved. NVC has very little to do with K visa petitions, they send them directly on to the appropriate consulate. Then the consulate will send you Package 3, with the application forms for the K3 visa, and once they recieve those back from you, will send you a letter to notify you of your interview date.

Thank you so much Reba! :thumbs: I had misunderstood. I thought when people say they got approved, they received an approval letter. I was waiting for it. I feel so stupid... :whistle:

If your spouse is waiting outside of the US for a K-3, do they mail all the notifications for interviews and all of that stuff to you (the USC) or to your spouse outside of the country?

They mail the NOA to the petitioner (USC) and they mail the package 3 and interview notice to the prospective immigrant.
