K3 Work Permit

Last night, my husband entered JFK on a K-3 visa. He specifically asked for a work stamp twice. The immigration officer insisted that the stamped I-94 with K-3 written on it is sufficient. I thought that it has to say "authorization" some where. I know that he can not work until he has a SS card, but the work permit is important.

your husband would have to apply for EAD i.e. employment authorization document

Only K1's can get the temp EAD at POE. Your husband needs to wait until you apply for the EAD to work.
