Hello fellow UK filers, etc.

We just got our NOA2 yesterday/this morning, the electronic approval anyway.

I am wondering now what kind of time estimation we should be looking at for the interview in London, etc?

I realize we still have to wait at least a week or two or three for VSC to send our stuff to NVC and then from NVC to London.

But after London actually gets it, how long should we reasonably expect to wait before an interview happens?

Plus, I'm not entirely sure. Will Amy (the beneficiary) be contacted by the consulate about an interview? Or does she have to request an interview?

If these questions have been asked 500 times before, my apologies, but I am excited and ready to move the process forward!

Cheers!

Currently interviews are taking between 2 to 3 months from date of NOA2 to be scheduled in London.

Amy will first receive Packet 3 which consists of a checklist and info on how to schedule her medical.

Once she completes the forms required for the checklist, ticking off that she has all necessary docs, she sends it back to the embassy which indicates to them that she is ready for the interview.

in the meantime, she will go have her medical.

Finally, she will receive Packet 4, which is a notice indicating the date and time of her interview at the Embassy.

If she hasn't already done so, have her immediately oder her police certificate as it takes about 40 days to receive once its applied for.

Again, congrats on your approval.

So she gets packet 3? I thought I was getting it and had to send it to her, based on, say Byron's timeline which says he sent it to Leidy, etc.

Plus I know I have to fill out the I-134 at some point, and it won't do me any good if she has it :P

I have told her about the police cert, and will remind her.

I can't wait!

Yes, Packet 3 is sent directly to the beneficiary. (For other embassies, like Bogata, the packet 3 docs can be downloaded for the embassy's website) There is a scanned copy of Packet 3 somewhere on VJ. I'll try to find it for you.

You'll also need a statement from your employer indicating your time of serice and current salary, plus a copy of your last tax return.

ETA: I found it!

Look here http://www.visajourney.com/gallery/thumbna...y&uid=30186 for scans of P3.

Can someone clarify something for me please?

At first I thought Packet 3 was being sent to me, but then it was mentioned it gets sent right to the beneficiary. Then someone else said something about me receiving it.

Who's right? Should I be looking out for it, or should she?

Okay, cool. She is asking when she might actually see this.

If I remember right, the consulate will send her the packet after they get our case, right?

Yep. It usually takes a few weeks once its at the embassy. With any luck, a bit sooner! You can call the DOS to check the status once it leaves NVC.
