Oh good grief!

Will there be a follow up programme covering the AOS process and the continued pain in the ####### that is USCIS? Will they cover the lifting of conditions process? The citizenship part? I wouldn't want to general public to think that this process is easy, after all.

Hee hee. That's what I was thinking. If they're going to do a "reality show" let them show the true reality of what we go through.

How about:

''America's next President''

Now this idea I like. At least then America would actually be voting for their president. Then again, too hard to regulate...

This is my amateur understanding of it all, but I believe as far as USCIS goes it's only illegal to marry someone if the purpose of the marriage is to evade immigration laws. There is absolutely no requirement that one marry for love. People marry for a myriad of reasons, all acceptable but that one.

i've been raised thinking that people marry out of love, so i'm always assuming everyone is the same. i know i'm idealistic, but can't help it... :innocent:

you're right, a lot of people marry for a lot of other reasons, and that's fine, but still: who would go to a show with that particular name with no thoughts whatsoever of not going back to their countries? like, really...

Their trick is going to be in two years when they go to get the conditions lifted and explain to the interviewer that "they really are in love" even though they got married because of a TV Show. If their relationships don't work out, it's gonna be one helluva mess if the non-USC wants to stay here after the marriage breaks up.

Why would they have to explain that "they are in love"? Love is not a requirement for AOS or removal of conditions.

Exactly. Arranged marriages are perfectly fine as a basis for immigration and those are hardly "out of love".
