We have just submitted our last package of forms to the NVC, they arrived there on Jan 30th. As far as I understand it they will send this info directly to the Montreal embassy (where I will have my interview). Will the Montreal embassy send us an instruction package? And if so, do we need to complete and return this package by mail, or is it something that i take with me to my interview?

and just one more question -- by the time my interview comes around my medical exam will probably be more than 6 months old (had it early, didn't knowhow long the process takes). But it will still be less than a year old -- will this be a problem, e.g., will I have to have another one before the interview?

thanks!

For Canada, the NVC schedules the interview. After we submitted our last package of forms, it took about 21 days for the case to be completed. We will hopefully get a March interview.

I'm not sure if your medical will still be good, since you're probably looking at a May or June interview. Best bet would be to call Montreal and ask. :)

The NVC schedules the interview and THEN sends everything to Montreal. Then you get an instruction package from Montreal with your interview date and where to get a medical done, etc. :) I believe you just take the medical to the interview, and that they will have anything else you need to sign.

I have a question. I just received the instruction package from NVC. Will this be the last package I receive before I get the package with the interview date? Is that the package the medical instructions are in? Also, in the "what happens next" part of the package, they want me to contact my husband to ensure the documents are completed and returned to the NVC as directed. He was directed to send them to Missouri, and not the NVC. Do they go to Missouri first and then forwarded to the NVC? Thanks!!
