Yes, he should send you a copy of his tax return, they might not ask for it but it is better to be prepared. Some people bring three years just to be safe.

For Tax Return it's a documents for someone who has his own business ??

I am not sure if this is the answer you were looking for or not? But everyone that earns an income in the US files a tax return (or is supposed to!), even people that work for a company. By providing you with his tax return it is added proof of his income for the I-134 affidavid of support.

You should get a list from the embassy as to what you need to take to the interview - packets 3 and 4. You say you have your case number but don't say exactly which stage you're at.

This's the message that I've got from U.S Embassy

Dear Ms...

We are loading your case from NVC at the moment. Please allow some days for data entry. Once your case has been opened in our system, we will notify you by mail. If you have already obtained all necessary documents for the visa interview in the checklist, please notify us by mailing your signed checklist to the IV Unit. After we received your DS-230 Part I and signed checklist, we will be able to schedule an interview appointment for you.

Yes, it looks like your file on its way to the embassy! CONGRATULATIONS!

Your boyfriend needs to fill out the I-134 and assemble the supporting documents, have it notarized and send it to you for your interview.

Look here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide

At the bottom of this page is a section called: What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2): There is also a FAQ link specifically for the I-134.....

I hope this helps.

Dear Bforbarree ,

Thank you so much for your help,

I'm sorry I read K1 guide and read FAQ I-134 , but I don't see the message that say about need to have Tax Return on Interview date too ??

For I-134 on the form and can my bofriend have documents for A,B , without C and D , that will be OK for interview date ? just incase I don't have tax return then I can get visa or not ? ,

Just want I read from C.If self-Employed ( that's mean for someone who has his own business only ? ) .. my boyfriend he worked at office , it's not his own business or his own company , then for C. If self-Employed it's not about my boyfriend ? ..

I things that I don't understand , if it's not someone who has his own business then while other couple have Tax Return on them interview date ??

Best Regards,

Kate

At my interview in London I initially gave them the Affidavit of Support, Pay Stubs, Letter from his employer, proof of my assets/bank statements ($162600) but they still required a tax return also. As the guide says they require a minimum of 2 of the options. It is generally best to have as much information as possible as if they need to ask for anything else it will delay your case. Tax transcripts can be requested by the USC online. He should google them and put in a request quickly.

Kate,

Like I said, they may not ask for the tax return at the embassy interview....but they could! Please, better if you are prepared!

I am giving a copy of my 2004, 2005, and 2006 tax return to my fiance for his interview because I have read postings from members like RosemarieL here on VJ! This will be a simple thing for me to do to avoid possible problems when my fiance has to go for his interview.

You are doing a great job, getting ready!

All the best!

Actually, Tax transcripts are requested by phone: http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=110571,00.html

If you speak to a representative, you can request wage and income statements, too. These and the transcripts are highly preferred over a tax return, since they are more readily accepted as fact.

My Tax Returns for 2006 do not show what I am making now. I was promoted and make more money now which will be shown on my 2007 tax retruns which will do no good for us as our interview date in London is next Wednesday 5 December. However, I contacted the IRS and recievied a transcript for 2006 and sent that along to my fiance' last month. I also have a letter from my employer, bank statements and a letter stating that I am in a bonus status for monthly bonuses. My fiance' is retired Royal Air Force as of last April, so he also collects a good monthly retirement check. We are adding everything we can...better to have it then to not.

The Embassy wants to make sure that your fiance' is not going to become a public charge, i.e., welfare bennies etc. etc.

They may not ask for some of this stuff, but at least it is on hand if they do.
