PLEASE TELL ME THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT I HAVE TO START THIS PROCESS FOR HER SON NOW....SHE WILL NOT COME AND LEAVE HER SON IN COLOMBIA...THIS WOULD KILL ME!!!!!!!!

Seperate in your mind the I-129F petition and the visa application ... they are different..

What you need to do is send visa application to the consulate for the son... I assume you just did this for her a few days ago... You do not need to start over with the USCIS as that what you did was proper.

In some consulates they ask for many of the forms in advance of the interview. In Kiev all we do not send in anything before the interview and bring it all the same day. It sounds like your consulate is similiar.

You will need a complete set of visa application documents including photos and medical when you are required to present the forms for mom and child.

What you bring for mom must be duplicated for the child (DS Forms (DS-156, DS156K, etc), photos, medical & fee payment... ) If they apply together, they will be approved together, the visas will be issued together, and then what happens after that is your call... So yes, they will come together....

EAD Approval was NOT updated online. We had an infopass meeting for 3/6 and then the EAD shows up in the mail on 3/5!!!! cancelled appointment,
