So my suggestion to you is...Tell your significant other that you would prefer to live in their country. See what their reaction is...It will help you to decide what path to take.

I don't think this would tell you much of anything, really. Everyone says, "well my SO said he'd be ok with me moving there, so I know he's not using me for a green card". People with bad intentions will tell you what you want to hear.

I completely agree with you Jenn. That line is the oldest one in the book!

Hope you have done your homework. You are dealing with one of the meanest consulates in the state department. Almost two weeks together aint gonna hack it at the interview. You need to make more trips, or spend more time together.

Youre in for a long wait.

People make not like the messenger or his style (myself included) but the message is a valid one. It's good for people to hear all points of view including the ones we don't want to hear.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

If someone wanted to use a woman for a greencard he would have to be pretty stupid if the woman told him she would rather live in his country and he responds with "No way! I would rather live in the US with you."

That's about the worst test I can think of to find a man's true intentions, unless as said before, he's a little "slow".

I agree. Spending more time together will increase the chance of success. Have there been denials for couples who have spent a really significant amount of time in the same country? I can't think of any offhand.

The reality is, no one here knows how to get a visa. We have our theories about what works, but all kinds of couples have been denied and all kinds of couples have been approved. We can share information and wish each other the best, but what happens happens, and you go on from there.

How did your husband's interview go?

I never said he's had an interview. Sweet of you to ask, though. :)

I thought since you had said his case was done at NVC this Spring that he would have already had it. Is Casa being slow?

you didn't like it either, malarie?! i loved the hammam. never felt so clean and smooth in my life! :)

there is no way i would want to see my mother in law naked. nor would I want her to see me naked, she is the biggest gossip not that im ashamed of anything. is that what happens? nakedness with the female in laws?!

that said i love exfoliating and saunaing so if i had the whole place to myself i think id be all for it. it would have to be really clean though.

if you go to an upscale hotel they have private and very clean hammams you can book to be alone. but the typical neighborhood hammam is public and filled with women who are usually only clad in their underwear!
