I may not know the whole story but i would like to congratulate you both for making it to the top.

" The person will never tell a lie if the truth will do more damage" That is one of my favorite quotes in life. Just thought about sharing it. Goodluck to both.

Hello VJ'ers

I know that I will be taking some ridicule from some of you...BUT, I reconsidered my actions and I am glad to say that Karina and I are back together and happy again. Karina suggested a weekend together to discuss everything...ALONE...in Bogota. We had not been ALONE since our honeymoon ... always with family and friends who occupied all of our time!! We simply had no time to get to know each other as individuals because everyone else was in the way!! So, I credit her with the idea to meet alone for a few days to talk. She had a good idea and it probably saved our marriage.

I was TOTALLY wrong about her. Yes, she wants a better life...BUT she wants that life with ME! The "lies" that she told to me were not really "that" big or important. I know...a lie is a lie...but, she was afraid that I would be "angry" with her...and she does not know me that well yet. The truth would have been better but, I am satisfied that she will never do it again. I'm not going to go into the entire story about this because it would take up a lot of space to write it all out. Just "trust me" that we have this entire mess straightened out between us and we are proceeding forward. I rescinded my letter to the USCIS on November 18th and have an INFOPASS appointment to make sure that everything is back on track. I love Karina and she loves me. Thanks also go to two of my four sisters who convinced me that I was TOTALLY WRONG!!! When I am right, no one remembers....when I am WRONG, no one forgets!!!!

Our NOA-2  for the I-130 was approved on November 20th...wouldn't you just know it!!! I feel really bad for posting my "OPORTUNISTA" posting (again) and I am ready for the ridicule to be dished out by you Vj'ers....so have at it. I can take it!!!!!!!! Please be a "little" kind...this is a long and stressful journey for all of us. I am having a difficult time with it. I LOVE AND MISS MY WIFE!!!!!!!!!

Sincerely,

Craig

I am very happy for both of you.:dance::dance::dance:

Darn! You got me!

I confess. I am not really Craig's Mom. hehe I just think I am funny.

I'm mostly a lurker that joined in order to go on a rant about this guy. Finally, I decided to sum it up with my little joke, changing my display name to "Craig's Mom."

In a nutshell, this guy is a dope! The first time this happened I felt bad for him. The second time when it happened, I was a little suspicious. Now, it is obvious he is a clown/drama boy like gogo. I will make a prediciton: He will wonder why she doesn't respect him, and you know what? We all know the answer, but him. At his age and acting like this, their marriage is doomed to faliure.

I hope he is retired Navy because we definitely don't need a guy like him calling the shots for everyone serving our country. "Fire! Oh wait, I called my sisters... don't fire! Oppsss fire!!! Sorry I got your son killed in battle. You can spank me if you want."

Stop judging people and being so childish, what give you the right to say anything bad about people? You don't even know them or have any idea of what they are going through....why don't you just delete your account and stop with these stupid games? VJ is here as a suppport system to all of us and from what I see you are not here to support so I think many would agree with me that it would be best if you would just leave......

ha ha. Unfortunately, I'm with you on this one Craig's Mom. I'm predicting the exact same thing for your boy.

He will also wonder why his wife doesn't love him. You can't love someone you don't respect! And its pretty hard to respect someone who acts like this. She loves me, she loves me not... She loves me, she loves me not.

You guys, what's wrong with you? (Craigs mom, you ARE funny tho). There is an understood background risk in this, how many stories of "fake" marriage or taking advantage are out there. I wish I had a dime for every one I've been told (laughing) Early conflict in marriage is common, all couples go through it, and on some level we've experienced it ourselves. Magnify that with distance, cultural differences, language barriers, and often small things amplify into huge issues.

Who here hasn't wondered at some point? I admit I have, but what's kept us close is that we TALK about our doubts or concerns as soon as they come up. No matter what, no matter how long it takes, we always come to resolution (alas sometimes at ruinous expense hence the idle comment earlier about those dimes), but I wonder what would have happened to us if we had not directly discussed our concerns, on the spot, and started spying, monitoring, or checking into one another from outside? With a pre-conceived degree of doubt, anything that you "find" will be interpreted by what you secretly believe anyway and be used to validate the doubt.

I wish you the best, and good luck. I hope that you, like I did, can learn to let those stories, suspicians, and fears go. Talking, and talking, and talking saved us from getting into that type of situation, but I wont pretend that the early times, especially right after we got married, and our "status" towards one another changed, didn't come with some difficulty. Getting through that, at a distance especially, involved some (at times painful) growth, even got to eat some crow flavored with humility at times, but it's been worth it. We both had some adjustments to make.......and sometimes I have to stop and remember she's giving up everything including that security blanket of family, to start a life with and be with me. That's a huge, huge commitment. One that we, the petitioners, don't always learn to appreciate.

Regards, and again good luck

David and Nitadyah (wishing i could just hug my wifey for patiently allowing me learn these things)

I am sorry Craig but I don't think this marriage will last because...

She is either a shady person that is using you, because you are her and her daughters ticket to the US or

You are an obsessive and paranoid controlling jealous freak. I can only imagine what will happen if there is a long line at the grocery store and she doesn't get home as soon as you think she should.

If at times you are not convinced about the validly of your marriage, how the hell do you think you will be able to convince the officer at the Consulate?

I don't want to be a jerk to you but the way I feel is if she truly isn't an OPORTUNISTA as you commonly refer to her then your behavior has been abusive and demeaning. When she gets to the US, it will be HELL for her as you will continue to threaten to have her status revoked when you are feeling insecure.

I disagree.

This forum isn't to help EVERYONE but rather those legitimately seeking a Visa. I have seen other forums where the benifitary is already living and working in the US and there are threads about which roads to avoid so they can sneak back to Mexico for their interview.

If it was because of suspected Visa fraud then none of us would be jumping through the hoops that we are are.

As I mentioned in my original post either his wife is part of the problem...or she is the victim of abuse. Why would I support either action?

a) What gives me or anyone the right to say bad things about people is the aforementioned people doing bad/stupid things. We all have the right to say what we wish, as long as it isn't directly insulting.

2) You do NOT, however, have the right to tell people to leave, or define the purpose of VJ.

If that silly saying were universally held to, the world would be non-existent within a year. Good thing the people who left England and came to the US way back then didn't believe in that....
