Umbrella, I knew of this from a co-worker though.

Right again.

Exactly how many slices of 1.5 cm each can you cut from a whole bread which is 22.5 cm long?

Only one, because as soon as you cut one slice it is no longer a whole loaf. The key word is "whole".

Alright.

If water going down the drain/toilet goes counter-clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere, in which direction would a toilet go on the equator?

My toilet stays, it's definitely not going anywhere, haha.

:clock:

the same. the coreolis effect is not that pronounced on the drain, the direction it spins is more dependant on the pipes than anything else.

Mom, Dad, and 2 kids have come to a river, and they find a boat. It is small and can only carry one adult or 2 kids at a time. Both kids are good rowers, but how can the whole family reach the other side of the river?

two kids row across, one kid rows back, one parent rows across, remaining kid rows back. both kids row across, one kid rows back and stays. remaining parent rows across, other kid rows back and gets the one that is where everyone started at and comes back to the parents on the other side.......

Nice try Chuck. But no. The correct answer was posted already. The toilet ain't going anywhere as a toilet is usually stationary. ;)
