All embassies I believe, are located in Washington DC. Some countries have consulates located in other cities... try google to locate the nearest one.

YMMV

The place where you need to register is located in NYC, go to wafin.com, they have a link and some info on registering your marriage. We did it but to this day never got a response or even acknowledgement from them. Called several times and emailed but never a word back.

You may need to register his presence here and get a registration card from the consulate before (or at the same time) you register the marriage. Same website for that. He'll need that registration card when he renews his passport also, according to the site. It looks like to get a reply, you need to include a prepaid Express Mail envelope.

You need to go the web page for the Morrocan Consulate which is in New York. They have everything you need there. They are not so helpful when you call, but most everything you will need or want can be found on their website.

If you're talking about legalizing it in the USA - I actually had a discussion with a lawyer on this. He said to go to my local City Hall ( town clerk / registrar - the office that issues marriage certificates ) and to have it registered & legalized. Once that's done, it's fully legal in my home state.

( This coming from an Arab who married an Arab from overseas... go figure. )
