Unless you have receipts for the phone cards in your name they don't hold much weight as people can get them from anywhere and also they don't show who you called.

Best to open a international phone account and make short calls on it for the record and use the cards for long conversations.

Since we kinda have the same situation.. But I am on IR-1 Visa though.

My wife is not good with computers, We talk on the phone alot but using phone cards, I duplicated my Banking card to send to her so I don't have to remit money and pay remittance fee she can just take money from my card whenever she needs em.

Pretty "heavy evidence"!

Get a life insurance policy for them. You can always cancel it later.

I used this phone service. http://www.talkloop.com/ it's a relatively inexpensive service, but as I recall the service hasn't that great. I used it because I could print out a call log of my phone calls to my wife. the interviewer at the Embassy seemed impressed by the several pages of almost daily phone calls.

Yeah I still recommend OWTEL even if I'm not with them no more..

The reason for my cancellation was at one time it was late @ night and I needed to call my wife but I had reach my max usage. I wanted to pay it off, but they told me I can't use it till tomorrow morning which made me upset and canceled my service. I know it was foolish of me, but I was desperate to get in touch with my wife that time..

What's good about their service is you can put limitation on your max usage. So you don't go haywire using their service.

Plus you can add to use your mobile phone to call Philippines.

Filipino customer service..

True! I had that also and it was a good plan. Call anywhere in the US anytime for the monthly service fee. I doubt very much if they still have it at the price I had then.
