Why should VSC be closed??? CSC hasn't moved in the same time frame as VSC. And if you mail it to another SC they are just going to forward it to VSC which will only complicate things. So, just hang tight and wait. It's all we can do. We filed back in August and haven't heard anything yet.

I can understand being sad about delays. I can understand being frustrated that life has to be put on hold while there are delays. I can even understand getting a bit angry now and then. But the truth is that we have zero choice other than to wait _if_ we want our spice/SOs to come to the States. If all we want is to be together than there is always moving to their country as an option.

I don't find complaining very productive if it is just railing at the system. It changes nothing and often the things that are said only serve to confuse other people about what is really going on and what they should to to properly work through processing visa paperwork.

Maybe there should just be a RANT ABOUT THE SYSTEM board setup so people can rant, but not muddy the waters.

I have no idea when my husband and I will be living together. So this means we will continue to live mostly separate lives (economically) and that we can only work so far toward our future together. That's the life we've chosen. Did we choose to have the process delayed more than anticipated? No. But that's life. We are grownups and we know that sh*t happens. So you roll with it.

I think at this point, no one knows anything. What was the way to work last year is all out the window now.

How can they NOT progress beyond ONE single day of apps in 6 weeks?

Maybe you are sittting pretty, but I have important decisions that need done based on knowing if the process will even begin within 1 , 2, 3 5 or 12 years.

Actually complaining and stating the facts will IN FACT MAKE A DIFFRENCE IF IT IS DIRECTED TO THE RIGHT AREAS. I for one will not sit back and wait while the upper gods decide if they are going to levie fees today or whatever little project keeps them busy for the time being. TO sit back and be silent besides this great forum, omg NO WAY.

FYI - when speaking to Immigration Officer yesterday at CSC she did inform me that California was working on September 3, 2007. So lets see one day progress in what - a month or so - ffs - come on peeps, write phone do what it takes, we are American's and we have that right. Hit your politican's the time is right, election era coming up next year, hit the reporter who wrote a story here, but dont ever ever give up trying. To sit back and wait, well may work for some, but not for me. THIS SYSTEM NEEDS A GOD DAMN OVERHAUL.

Cheers

p.s If you have just recently begun the waiting period then let me hear from you in three months about not getting any results - otherwise you can remain silent FOR I WILL NOT!!!

I agree with MsZ. If you are continously looking on the website for a new change then you are setting yourself up for disappointment. it has been said that the I-13o process is on an average of 6 MONTHS! Not 6 weeks! So stop looking for an update cause you won't get one. Just put it out of your head. I know easier said than done, but you have to look at the bigger goal not this short term website update goal.

There are people who got an NOA1 3-4 months after submission, but then the NOA2 rolled around maybe a month later, so in the end no time was really wasted. As long as you are ok with the idea that the ENTIRE process from application-POE will be around 10months to a year you shold be ok. Once things start pushing beyond a year thats when you should start ranting and raving and checking all the time. At the service center stage you are way to early in rants. I mean, you still have NVC and the Embassy to go through.

I'm sorry for your wait, but just look beyond and you'll start to feel some comfort in the situation.

Actually there is one case that comes to mind that he had sat by and waited he would be waiting until God knows when by the looks of things. Read up on GOGO and if he had not been on top of things calling and writing the WHITE HOUSE, his application would be sitting gathering dust somewhere for a long long time. TO EACH HIS OWN.

yeah but he still had to wait at least 3 months before they would've found anything.

So did I and still nothing and I acted on it. And the OP has waited 3 months also and I think what we are looking for here is at least confirmation.

We all have important decisions to make. We are both professionals with children and houses. We'd of course be happier financially if we were living under the same roof and he'd love to have some idea what his future in the US will look like -- we're going to sell both houses and buy a new one (need more bedrooms for one thing), and his career is important to him as well. His current company would like to know what he's going to be doing as well.

Nobody is saying that you shouldn't stay on top of your situation. But general griping is not going to help you or anyone else. Vermont is swamped. That much is very clear. We modified our expectations about timelines more than once already and I expect to do it many more times before the process is complete. All we can do is work the system. If you want to become politically active, by all means, go ahead. But preaching to the choir about how slow things are right now probably isn't going to change much.

After over 1 month without an update, they haven't even progressed ONE day beyond the last 5 week update.

Many other sites are CURRENT

Tell me again, should I NOT just mail in all new paperwork to another site????

VSC is obviously CLOSED for I130 processing. 2 months without budging one day???

Here's a page on uscis site and on the right you can select processing times, then page will pop up where you can select the service center then scroll down to your application type and see what date they were processing as of the date at top. (its updated once a month)
