We have always gotten ours from the boy scout troop that my brother used to belong to when he was little. I think this year we got a 6-8 ft. fir and it cost about $70.

What about you guys?

we bought a fake tree for about 70 bucks from Walmart last Christmas...

we are hoping it will last us a few Christmases..

I like it better because it is less messy..

we bought some pine scented candles so we will still have the pine scent....

My Mom always tries to get us to buy a fake tree but we won't have it. I guess we've just always had a real tree, plus I love the smell. It's fun to watch the dog drink all of the sugar water under it and bounce off the walls.

I also have a fake tree I got last year from Target for about $60. Its 9 feet tall and has about 1100 lights! I love it! I dont care for real trees, they only look nice for about a week or two then they dry out and start making a mess everywhere!

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

fake tree for me. when I was little we always had a real tree and I just remember stepping on the pine needles all month and hating it. there is a tree farm right next to my family's land and the guy always offers to give us a free christmas tree. no thanks! I don't plan on having a real tree ever again.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

We always get a Douglas Fir and have no problem with needles. If you keep it watered with sugar the tree never looks bad. The only time we have needles is when we take all of the ornaments down and take the tree outside. One pass with the vacuum cleaner takes care of that.

oh yeah I agree! gag fest

I love that smell! I don't like feeling like I'm in a pine tree forest but I like a little pine odor.

I go right down the drive way to our tree farm and cut one down. I wouldn't dream of having a fake tree. I love the smell and I never have any problems with needles either. We sell frasier firs or what we like to call, real Christmas trees. Sheesh, I know I get mine for free but $70 for a 8 foot tree. You could come cut one down fresh from the patch for $48. We sell them for $6 a foot. You could have an 11 foot tree for $70.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

We used to have a place where you could cut one down but they sold the land to build houses. :(

I think $70 is a bit much also but my parents say they don't mind since it goes to the boyscouts.

We have a fake 6.5 foot one, we got it at the Walgreens after Thanksgiving sale for $19.99  and it's pre-lit with 600 lights :D

We can't get a real one, cause our condo association would throw a fit that a real tree will set fire & burn the place down :(

Yeah, it goes to a good cause. You wouldn't believe the people that complain when they come in and ask the prices at our farm. It's like, it don't get no fresher than this. If you want to go down the road and pay no telling what for a less than fresh tree, go right ahead. Knock yourself out. As far as I know, we are the cheapest around too. I think most of the other farms in the area sell them for $7 a foot or more.
