I cant honestly say Ive uttered that exact phrase in my lifetime. However, I will endeavor to use it in the near future :) Our favorite words/phrases around here include "Jeet?", "Yuntu/Yunna", and the ever-popular "Geeonouddaere".

It scares me to suddenly realize that I know what all three of those words/phrases mean! I guess my three years in Texas did some damage afterall ;)

11/24/2007 - Married!
03/31/2008 - Received Green Card
05/03/2010 - Conditions removed

Finally applying for citizenship!

01/19/2016 - Filed N-400
01/25/2016 - NOA
02/17/2016 - Biometrics appointment
02/26/2016 - Receieved interview letter
04/01/2016 - Naturalization interview

It scares me to suddenly realize that I know what all three of those words/phrases mean! I guess my three years in Texas did some damage afterall ;)

hmmmm, I've lived in Texas 30 years and I can't translate those! I do say "y'all" and "you all" . . . and I know I get accused of talking Texan when I venture north to Yankee land . . . but somehow I have managed to escape the worst excesses of Texanese! I don't say "nucular" either.

Oh, I forgot . . . . DAYUM!!!!

my step-daughter-to-be puts A's in words that don't have them - giving them 2 or 3 syllables instead of ONE! :lol:

Her brother doesn't do it - but she says stuff like 'say-id' for said and see-at' for sit

Doesn't surprise me that the pilgrim fathers landed on the SEast coast - blame the bloody Cornish (who do exactly the same but with less of a Yank accent) to the language!

Btw - last trip - sitting n Denny's and I make an order, the waitress SQUEALS excitedly (I kid you not) and asks me to say 'something else in that great accent'

I hid behind my menu blushing like a cherry!

April 9th - Pkt 3 rec'd!

May 17th - Pkt 3 signed for at London Embassy

June 14th - Interview 10am - APPROVED 1pm!!

June 16th - Visas received in my hot little hands 1pm :)

July 19th - flying to US!

July 27th - Married!! :-)

Aug 7th - Applied for SSN in married name

Aug 9th - SSN received
