What visa did you enter on? If other than the VWP, it should be on your paperwork from the issueing consulate or any other notices from the USCIS.

Or you should get your I-797 NOA which will have it on it.

If you used a K-Visa to enter the country, this number should be on I-129F approval notice above beneficiary's name.

NOA2.jpg

It is sometimes written on the back side of I-94 card by POE officer.

I entered on a F-1 student visa and I cannot find anything looking like an A-number on it. How long does it usually take to get the I-797 NOA after you send the paperwork in?

Thanks!

At the moment thats a toughy. When I did mine it came in less than 2 weeks, however, with the influx of petitions and the fallout from the price hikes they are wayyyyyy behind. Best advice I can give, keep an eye on the VJ timelines of other people who submitted around the time you submitted and before to get the best guess.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure that F-1s don't have an A# number -- I was an F-1 years ago, then an H-1B and I could never find one anywhere on my paperwork. Juste leave it blank.

Sorry, I also meant to say that I did apparently get assigned an A# (on my NOA1s) after I filed for AOS.
