I got an email today from the NVC advising me that they had forwarded our petition to Montreal on April 13th! YAY!!! Woohoo!! We now have a MTL #

My question is....Davids income is way more than that required to enable support of myself and my two daughters. Does anyone know if he must still supply bank statements or will his letter from his employer and perhaps pay stubs be enough? He can easily do it we just weren't sure if it was necessary if there was no doubt in the ability to support?

Your thoughts?

All petitioners must file a I-134 or I-864 at some time in their journeys. Most K1s file the I-134 and then when they file the AOS they file the I-864. He will still need the bank information, w2s and employment letter. I am sure others will come and confirm this is correct. Good luck.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

I sent a letter from my bank, letter from my employer, and my tax returns (probly not needed, but hey, they have it just in case) as well as savings account information. Congratulations on the MTL #! Great feeling, ain't it!

Oh yeah, pay stubs...I sent those too. :)

You need the bank letter. You need all 3 things. Your pay stubs, bank letter, and tax returns.

When I went to Montreal they asked for all BUT the pay stubs. They did ask for the bank letter and the tax returns.

It states on the I134 that you need all 3, so take them and be better safe than sorry.

The bank letter is nothing special just put what it wants off the I134.

Hope this helps!
