i hate those CSI type shows...

i really like Crossing Jordan though but that show didn't really take itself too seriously.. I just wish they would put it on DVD already...

6 feet under was an amazing TV show. Especially the first 2 series.

I agree. The first few seasons were really good. That guy who's on The Office played a really strange intern who rented a room in the house. I haven't really kept up with it though in the last couple of years.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is another HBO great.

Edit: Rain Wilson...he's really good at strange.

Thanks all for your replies. i'll be adding to my queue

Have you watched any of it yet? I really enjoy it. It's one of my favorites. I can't wait for Dec. 11!

Big Love. Polygyny is very entertaining.

i'm waiting for Big Love. It'll be available on dec 11

Yes I watched season 1 and I loved it. Season 2 will be available on netlfix Dec 11, can't wait. And I'll also be getting Lost 3rd season that I missed.

Someone recommended "Weeds" to me so I have Season 1 on the way right now. Hopefully it will be good. I love Heroes and The 4400...so both would get my vote!

I ordered both seasons of Weeds while hubby was on a trip and I couldn't leave the bed. It's so funny. I highly recommend. I can't wait for the next season to be on dvd, cuz I really can't afford Showtime.

Well an update, since I'm running out of options again. I've tried pretty much all the options above except:

Someone recommended "Weeds" to me so I have Season 1 on the way right now. Hopefully it will be good. I love Heroes and The 4400...so both would get my vote!

I think I'll give it a try to The 4400 to see if I like it.

The Wire is very good, if you’ve not seen it…

tried but wasn't appealing to me.

I'm thinking about trying ''Dexter'' with the same guy from Six Feet Under, has anyone seen it?

Arrested Development was one of the funniest shows ever on TV. It even had a planned end, how novel an idea.

I forget who said it, but there is a quote that every good show is on for one season too long. That will never be said about Arrested Development. There was no lame final show like Seinfeld. There weren't 3 or 4 unwatchable seasons like Friends. It ended in 3 years and did so with grace and dignity.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

--July 22---------Sent I-129F packet

--July 27---------Petition received

--August 28------NOA1 issued

--August 31------Arrived in Terrace after lots of flight delays to spend Lindsay's birthday with her

--October 10-----Completed address change online

--January 25-----NOA2 received via USCIS Case Status Online

I was on the wait list for weeks and finally got disk 1. I had to make an effort to watch and still, not appealing.

The first 3 episodes of season 1 of the wire are kind of slow and it's a bit difficult to get your head around all the different characters - but the show starts to really kick off once Omar and the stick-up crew appear. And then it's more addictive than crack .

"Weeds" We love Weeds.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
