My husband filed a petition through Holmes and Lolly immigrant attorney in California which had cost him so much and "they" promised him that they will get us in the U.S. in less time and as soon as we are here they are willing to help my husband for my adjustment of status. In the last week of the month of February '07 i recieved my medical and interview appointment dated for april 13(medical exam at St.Luke) and April 20 (interview at the Philippine US embassy). My daughter and i have to go through alot of difficulties from lining up,getting up early, waiting for so long, got hungry& have to eat so late in the afternoon, and of course not to mention the finances that you spend everyday when you have to go to an appoinment. But everything pays off after the interview because 2days after that our passport came with our visas K-3 for me and k-4 for my daughter.

Anyway here's my recent news,We finally came here in the US in May 13,2007.The CFO in the Philippines gave us wrong info on how to get settled here in America....They advised us to get a social security # and guess what???we have to apply for work authorization to get that which is another cost of money!

And what sucks more? Not even a week that we came here our I-130 approval of notice came...Which means if we have just waited for a month we will come here on an IR visa and doesnt need to spend more money for adjustment of status and wait for a long period of time getting your work permit, social security, and "green card".So now,we have to go through again another paper work, waiting, and spending! And the people who promised you of their help????where are they at this time?don't know!they make out money on us anyway. So for the petitioner,i advised you to go to visa journey,it's specific and does'nt need to spend more money for another sucky life.

Sounds to me like everything has gone and is going really well ! You and your daughter are together with your husband, the holidays are here, but you still have some money to spend and paperwork to get through before it ends. At least you can do it together, as a family. You've managed to achieve the wonderful end result that many on this site are still striving for !!
