Yes it's a gingersnap on top. You put crumbled ones between the layers. Don't have the page open and need to leave, but the recipe is at foodnetwork.com. Look up pumpkin mousse in the search recipes, then barefoot contessa as the chef. Have fun. (I won't get to test it until dinner, but I'll let you know my opinion then)

Did you say Barefoot Contessa?

Hicham started calling me Contessa as a joke because she is my absolute favorite. I love her show and have all of her cookbooks. I have that recipe at home and I have always wanted to make it.

I saw her making that too, but it looked pretty bland to me. Those three veggies aren't my favorite.

Have you ever made a sweet potato gratin? I was thinking of trying that and I don't see why it wouldn't work like a normal potato gratin.

Something about sweet and cheese in the same sentence does not sound right to me!!

Yes that pumpkin recipe is from BAREFOOT contessa. Wonder where she got that name? Maybe you fans know. And I took some to Omar and then to my boss and the receptionist (she is my cooking buddy...in fact we are seeing Paula Dean at costco this weekend  ) and everyone loved it so definitely worth making Sarah, and easy too.

The name of her catering business and markey in the Hamptons is called "Barefoot Contessa".

I got presents for my parents and my brother so far but nothing for Hicham yet.

I decided this year to make homemade Limoncello and raspberry vodka to give to my friends. I bought some nice bottles and it takes about a month for the vodka to sit with lemon peels and raspberries so that's what I've got going on at home.

Have a good Tuesday!

Hey Sarah,

Can you please put my name on the list of your friends  just kidding...

But seriously, This sounds amazing - raspberries and lemons - I think this is such a great gift idea - very thoughtful (for these who appreciate the many benefits of social drinking and a good vodka)

Dorothy - your Polish friend with appreciation of hard liquors

don't feel like a loser. Go to the food channel or foodnetwork.com and find recipes that look interesting. I have always enjoyed cooking but got a new fire for it recently when my sisters were here and we baked together. most of what I make comes from shows I see on the food channel. Not sure where the others get their inspiration.

Finally got my dessert...it was as good as it looked. One glass left over...anyone want it? :P

Seriously Maggie -- that pumpkin mousse looks ab-fab.... I'm all over that like white on rice.

We made a russet and sweet potato gratin for Thanksgiving because no one ever eats the yams... it was really good and went fast. I'm pretty sure that the recipe was from one of the William Sonoma cookbooks.
