Does anybody know what police certficates to submit when doing and I-130 in Peru? Thanks.

Same as any other visa type..

Police records (Certificado de Antecedentes Policiales) are available to applicants over the age of 16, and are issued on green paper with the heading “Policia Nacional del Peru, Division de Identificacion, Certificado de Antecedentes Policiales”. The applicant's photo is attached to the certificate. Applicants without criminal records will have "No Registra Antecedentes" printed on the form. A negative certificate does not necessarily mean the subject has no police record, since police records may be deleted upon completion of sentence. A police record may be issued to residents or non-residents upon application to Policia de Investigaciones del Peru. Division de Identificacion, Av. Aramburu No. 550, Lima 34, Lima. The applicant must first request a fingerprint chart (ficha de canje internacional) and provide one photo. Processing time is normally three days. There is a small fee.

Thanks for both replies I really appreciated. I have one more question. My wife lived in Tarapoto for 3 years, and in Lima for the last 7 years. Do we need a police certificate from Tarapoto? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Again.

Thanks for both replies I really appreciated. I have one more question. My wife lived in Tarapoto for 3 years, and in Lima for the last 7 years. Do we need a police certificate from Tarapoto? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Again.

Sorry you are getting a checklist. I don't know how long people have had to get their documents translated. I noticed you posted in a thread in August where someone stated that translations were not required.

When you received your hard copy instructions for your DS-230 they normally include Consulate specific instructions with them, did they not mention it?

Anyway, it is mentioned in the online instructions

It's in the instructions for the DS-230, right at the top of the list of civil documents you have to submit:

Translations

"All documents not in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations.

The translation must include a statement signed by the translator that states that the:

Translation is accurate, and

Translator is competent to translate".

PODER JUDICIAL HAS BEEN ON STRIKE FOR 1 month. my brother in law need that 3rd one from poder judicial to go to spain but they are on strike!~

Luckily my wife got her right before the strike.
