im really glad i asked for advice here, i started getting depressed thinking we would never be able to get a visa because he's unemployed and blabla, you guys are giving me hope :)

so sounds like the only thing i need to be concerned about is proofs of our relationship and intent to marry. so far i have 2 letters of intent (the ones from this website, we both filled them out with our information), pictures of me and him together in Turkey, plane tickets for both of us from some traveling we did in Turkey last month, emails from may 2006 through now, and after the petition but before the interview we will have ring receipts. i can possibly get phone bills, theyre actually my dad's bills though..

from all of your experience, is this enough for the petition or interview or neither, and what other evidences can i get?

and did i understand correctly that the interview is a one chance thing? if he fails at the interview, we have to start the whole process all over again?

Your evidence sounds good.

I include a photo copy of all pages of my passport along with copies of my boarding passes etc....I kept all the origionals.

Best of luck on your journey. ;)

Hi and welcome :)

To answer your question, it doesn't matter about what your fiance makes, you are petitioning for him so your income and support of him is what is key.

All you can do is file, provide as much proof as you can of having met in the past 2 years and be honest about any previous denials. Remember, that once he enters the states you must get married within 90 days, there are no extensions.

It's okay that you don't have a wedding date set, all that matters is that you get married within the 90 days.

Best of luck to you and your fiance! :)

I agree. You must marry him within the 90 days or else it would be considered fraud, unless he goes back to Turkey before the 90 days is over. You know, like if things doesn't work out. You don't have to have an actual date set, my husband, (my fiance back then) we didn't have one either. When the consul asks when will we get married, I just tell them that we dont have an exact date yet but definitely within my 90 days stay in the US.

Good Luck!
