Well Sunday 1-13 -08 My husbands mom got a call. They couldn't find the home so they called instead. Another home investigation. They wanted to know if his parents approved of our marriage. And If his mom knew we had a age diffrence. If she knew my name and she told them Cheryl and then she told him that i just traveled back home. The man was shocked. Then he talked to my husband for a while. I'm not getting my hopes up. We all know how Cairo works. :blink:

They asked his mom if she knew about the age difference???? OUCH....We have an age difference...his mom KNOWS Im older..but not by HOW MUCH. (My age isn't anyones concern). His mom knows my name...but not my age..just that Im older. We can only hope and pray we get to skip a home visit...since we are K1..maybe they will figure we will have to deal with AOS interview more....who knows.... but good luck..

What bs!!! How in heck can the man be shocked when you emailed the embassy before you left and told them you were going to be there??? Obviously the right hand has no clue what the left hand is doing over there! :wacko: Hopefully this will be the last of it for you both!!!!

we are doing a K1 and he has had two home visits :( They did ask his mom if she knew about the age difference and how much it was..

05/03/2007 interview -> AP -> hell -> AP -> 9 months of AP Hell - 2 home visits :(

01/26/2008 visa in hand with a typo :(

02/03/2008 2 weeks more of waiting.... Visa in hand...... :)

2/20/2008 on US soil :)

2/21/2008 marriage :)

03/12/2008 Sent AOS/Work/Travel

03/16/2008 shows delivered chicago

4/12/2008 check cashed :)

4/13/2008 NOA's for all 3

4/18/2008 bio letter

4/29/2008 bio appt.

5/06/2008 RFE 2007 tax return

5/07/2008 returned RFE overnight

5/08/2008 received-lees summit

5/12/08 case updated online/RFE received

5/27/08 checked the website for the third time today -says AP and EAD approval letter sent 5/24- it was not updated online till today - and no e-mail update either

5/27/08 emails sent in afternoon AP and EAD approvals

5/29/08 AP touch

5/29/08 email EAD card production ordered

6/02/08 AP in hand

6/03/08 email EAD card mailed

6/05/08 EAD card in hand :)

7/28/08 AOS letter received

9/02/08 AOS interview

9/10/08 card production ordered email :)

9/17/08 welcome letter email and snail mail arrive same day

9/19/08 Greencard in hand :)

May i ask the age difference? How long did you know each other before filing and how many visits did u have before filing??

I am going to our interview and will meet them then...I've talked to her on the phone...mailed her letters and will meet her this next trip. We just never said how old I was...and she never has asked...she saw my pics and knew I was older.

First of all I want to say this is great news for both of you :thumbs::dance: . Second, my husband had his home visit at the beginning of August and he received his visa August 31st. I hope this is how short of time it will be for both your cases to go through. GOOD LUCK!

Wow so you guys have been together for quite some time and you have petitioned to have him come here and you haven't met his parents?
