We got the notice today and the appointment is in Charleston, not Atlanta. I am so happy because I hate Atlanta traffic. It's for May 2nd so we're going to drive up the night of the first and get a hotel room, find the place so we won't be late, then enjoy a night away. It's for 9 AM, which leaves us time to get home in time for my final exam that night I hope.

Can you believe they scheduled it for one of the two days I have finals? I just knew they were going to do that! I really don't care, I'm just so glad we finally have it.

We'll probably try to get somewhere near the office if the area isn't too bad. I'm not much of an early bird lately so I don't want too much of a drive.

Can you tell me the names of the really pretty streets to go see? If we get done early we want to do some sightseeing and have no idea what part of town to go to since I've never been there (if you don't count the two times we turned the wrong direction on I26 when going to or missed the I95 exit when coming from Charlotte and didn't realize it until we saw signs mentioning the port). The vet who was the intern when I got my puppy many years ago lives there, but I'm married now so dropping in on him would be pointless. That was always the only "point-of-interest" for me in Charleston before I met Abdel. We're into old architecture and history. Whatever parts of town are beautiful to look at, with somewhere around to stop for lunch, would be perfect.

Thanks for your help. I'd say we could meet for lunch since your man will likely be there by then, but I'm guessing you guys will still be in that "honeymoon/cocoon" phase and won't want to be around other people for a while. If you would like to have lunch with us just let me know.
