Today one of my former students came back to visit. He came back from Iraq recently to Fort Lewis. Like a dork, I almost started crying when I saw him, just over sheer relief that he made it home safely.

I got my Christmas gift from Hubby today. I asked for a purse from hardwearbyrenee.com I got the big black catwalk tote. I love these purses and supporting a local craftswoman. He had it sent to my work and it's lovely. Right now I'm kind of glad the pound is 2 to 1 against the dollar.

I got my first Christmas gift, too!

Jeffrey sent me a parcel from NZ and I was allowed to open it already.

He sent me three DVDs of a Kiwi cartoon series called Bro' Town. It's about four Samoan teenagers and one Maori boy, who live in Auckland.

It is far, far away from being pc. The show is written by a comedy group called the Naked Samoans and airs on prime time TV on one of the big Kiwi channels. If you know a wee bit about NZ culture, you'll like it too. And he sent two "Bro' Bars" along, yoghurt covered strawberry muesli bars with the shows favourite character, Jeff da Maori, on the wrapper. Choice!
