I do! Been sewing probably about 10 years or so...

I personally don't sew on leather, so I can't really recommend much. What I have heard that you need to watch out for is whether the machine is plastic geared (bad) or metal geared (good, can take a lot more stress) I myself have a Kenmore which is pretty old but was hardly used. It has enough functions to keep me happy. Just be sure not to be too blown away by extra gizmos since you probably wont use too many of them anyways... You might also want to try an actual sewing machine shop... They tend to know a lot about the machines they sell. And shop around so you can find out prices! Good luck!
