So this gives us no recourse at 30 days past 6 months? And what does this mean for you? you can't even bother taking it to federal court until 18 months passes?

seems that way... it says I can't do a writ of mandamus (judge force them to do something) until it's way long... at least past 1 year's time... recommended to have 2 years ... but that is just way too long.. I don't get it ... why do I get security checks on my visa?? I have a Social Security #, she has a similar type for China (also has a China passport too)...so how hard is it to punch in a few numbers... you don't do a name check.. stupid people.. that is so inefficient.. why don't we do a computer check too? Oh, I have the same kind of memory and hard drive as someone else..

guess I need to wait until April 2008 to take them to court... thanks DivineMercy and JohnWendy.. it's been a lot of help talking here.. =) actually, what happened to your I-129F, DivineMercy? You should have continued with the I-130.. at least something was moving for you.. it would have probably been faster than waiting for the I-129F now to get approved...It should have gotten approved already.. is it because of their stupid rule of after June 1, 2007 it will take 16-18 months time?? That is too ridiculous.. FIRST OFF, we didn't apply after June 1.. our I-130 was sent in April (or earlier).. our I-129F was filed in June, because we got the I-130 NOA1 so late.. 1 1/2 months just to get I-130 NOA1 so we can apply the I-129F.. other people now are sending just a copy of the I-130 check sent in as proof.. hmmmm... we seem to follow the rules, just got screwed over..  people who don't follow the rules get approved faster..

Hello GOGO, the "naturalization applications" that USCIS is referring to is for applications from US Residents applying to become US CITIZENS (Naturalization). I don't think this refres to "immigrant Visa applications".

I hope this helps.

Thanks.

I didn't pursue the I-130 because the interview wait time in Lagos is 10 months but for the K3 its 2-3 months. I thought it would be faster to just wait for the K3. I'm not holding my breath about this announcement though. I'm not sure it applies to us just yet. Wait to see what happens. I still want to believe I did the right thing not pursuing the CR1. I'm not convinced but trying to be. They didn't name us specifically as the ones who will be effected by that change. This announcement has sent me over the edge though but there's still a glimmer of hope that the approval can still come in the next two months. If not for that tiny little twinkling of hope..

There are many things I wish I could go back and change. I wish we didn't get married, I could have applied in February for the K1 when my divorce was final. I wish I got a better paying job sooner. I wish my *sshole ex husband didn't hold out on signing the divorce papers causing us to wait 2 1/2 friggin years (he STILL wouldn't sign when i had another man's BABY!!). I'm still hoping we are together on our FOUR YEAR anniversary. Every step has killed a part of me and you and our spouses. There is SOOOOOOOOOOO much to be angry about. I hate the USCIS. I hate that they all go home to their wives and husbands every night w/out ever knowing what they are doing to US. We did follow their stupid rules and are the ones to suffer for it. It's like all the other people are getting the I-130 and I129Fs approved together. What about the people who had the I130s approved long ago? Are the I129F's forgotten?????? What's with your stupid security checks??????? Why did MyHoney have to wait so long? Why are so many people getting screwed while others pass us by?

That does help, but they only named naturalization cases as an example, not as the only example. It could pertain to us but then again it might not.

Hang in there my friends.

DivineMercy and GOGO, be patient. We are all in this together, and the best thing I can tell you is to take it one day at a time. Stressing just makes you lose your mind. I'm about to lose it, but I keep strong for my wife.

Duende, you have a lot more strength than I have. God bless ya. I've already lost my mind. My poor poor husband :(

You are exactly where I was. I was not functioning anymore in my life. I was just a basket case and not sleeping, and not eating correctly. My blood pressure was extremely high because I could not accept what USCIS was doing.. But, I knew this was the only way for my husband to come to America. I really believed if this continued I would have been in the hospital.. In fact I told my husband I was at my limits with USCIS and I just couldn't take it anymore. They have attacked my character and the entire process is painful, cruel and extreme. No person should ever have to experience this! Is one thing for patience but, waiting over 7 months for just the approval and 2 to 3 months to be united is unjustified! Now, with the waits longer is TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR! I have stated earlier the system is broken and it has only gotten worse. Our Senators and representatives in office all need a wake up call!!! They need to clean house at USCIS and our experience's need to be heard to help change the future for our fellow VJ members. Otherwise, nothing will change... A process that brings so many emotions out and really takes a toll on a person waiting to bring their love ones to America. Our families are not terriosts, these are our lifes and innocent people waiting for USCIS to make a lifetime decision to be with our family...

guess I need to wait until April 2008 to take them to court... thanks DivineMercy and JohnWendy.. it's been a lot of help talking here.. 1 1/2 months just to get I-130 NOA1 so we can apply the I-129F.. other people now are sending just a copy of the I-130 check sent in as proof.. hmmmm... we seem to follow the rules, just got screwed over..:angry: people who don't follow the rules get approved faster..
