I have a red one, too! I've had mine for about 4 yrs now. I love it for pizza dough. I was making dough in my Cuisinart FP until I got the Kitchen Aid mixer. For some reason the dough comes out nicer in the mixer. My mother gave me her bread maker but I never used it. I passed it along to my friend's mom. I much prefer appliances that have multi uses.

I have the same bright red kitchen aid! I think I got it for my 20th birthday so I've had it for 4 years and I'm pretty sure it's going to last a lifetime.

oooooooo I love Christmas decorations!

I just found the cordless phone for my house in my purse. I called Ramy to tell him not to look for it and he said he AND my grandfather were looking for it for 1/2 hour before they gave up. hahaha. My grandfather said something like "WHAT is Ramy doing to you to make you do that?"

What happened to Doodle?

Divorced. To hell with him.

Whoo I missed the bread discussion. Yes we make bread everyday because husband only likes Moroccan bread so that's the type - no pitas. It's pretty easy, flour, salt, yeast, lil sugar and water in teh kitchen aid whip it up and let it sit like 30 minutes. then make some balls (about 4-5 tennis balls put together). Hammer it out until it's a flatter disc (1/2 inch or so thick). Bake it at 350-375 until it makes a hollow sound when you tap on it. So it's really not that impessive! No bread machines - Youssef doesn't like the inside of the bread, just the crust and bread machine bread lacks a good crust he says.

Must be a moroccan thing with the bread innards. I love the inside...soft...and he likes the outside. We make bread about once a week. It lasts 2-3 days. Did Youseff teach you how to make the bread? I haven't gotten the kneading part down to my husband's liking yet, so I mix and he kneads. That's ok though..kneading is hard work.

 yep. But it's sooooooo much fun! Especially cooking because when he came, for some reason he was convinced I didn't have a clue how to cook a thing....so on Thanksgiving I made not one, but TWO batches of cornbread to take to the big family dinner and at first he was just kind of watching in awe and by the second batch he wanted in on the fun.

Yep, just let the dough hook do it's job for a few minutes.
