1. You need to get your case number off your NOA1 or cashed check before you can track your case status.

2. Read up on what you need for the interview.

3. Both service centers are slow, 5 months is the current approval time.

Hopefully you paid with a check.

If so you may be able to read your petition number on it when you get the cancelled check back.

You can sign up with USCIS email notification once you have your number.

If you get the NOA1 you can also sign up.

If you don't in a reasonable time. Call USCIS and ask for your number.

Please don't ask what a "reasonable time" is!

No such animal anymore.

You can go here once you have ur receipt number should be a EAC?????? number....and then you can create an account and track it online and also request to be notified of any actions on ur case via email.....

WACnnnnnnnnnn actually, not EAC. The number will be stamped on the back of your cancelled check, or you can get it off the hard copy notice that you'll receive in the mail.

We have just received our NoA1 from Vermont and it is actually EAC. With the receipt number, you just need to go the USCIS site to register and track it online.

Good luck to both of us and other November filers!!

Most people usually get numbers that start with WAC, but there's the occasional person that gets the EAC number.

That's my understanding too........ My service center is VSC, hence EAC on my receipt, I guess.

logitech, I strongly recommend you fill in your timeline; while by no means foolproof, it will give you some broad indication on when you should expect your NOA2, based on other people's data... you can search timelines for information about others in the same timeframe as you (use the 'Immigration Timelines' link at the top of this page), and there are threads specifically for filers by particular month, as well as service centre, in the sub-forum of this section

hope that's helpful :)

logitech, I strongly recommend you fill in your timeline

whoops; you already have :D

sorry; didn't see it when I replied... in any case, checking the estimated date it provides is still highly recommended ;)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Yep, that was my mistake. I confused EAC for one of the consulate numbers. It was late, I was drinking... :)

Having an I-129f for a K1 pending will do that to ya!

Yeah, it's called the USCIS drinking game. Check the website. If no touches, take a shot. Check the website again...

:)

Cheers!!
