Fiancee Called St Luke's Concerning Early Exam

My Fiancee called to ask St Luke's if she could come a couple weeks early and they told her no. They said, "walk-ins can cause trouble. They get more crowded." Have any of you or anyone you have every heard been turned away when they went there early? We hate to waste our time and money to fly one hour to Manila for nothing.

If you have went early recently, I would like to hear from you. What exactly did you say and what did they say at the reception?

A friend I'm helping just went thru the same trip last week. Called St. Lukes and got the exact same answer.

She went last Tuesday and didn't have any problems getting in. Flew from Cebu also.

Her interview is December 6.

You can just walk in, just bring in the appointment letter and all other requirements. There were a lot of people that did their early medical, i dont think you will have a problem. I suggest to avoid Mondays and go in at 12PM.

My fiance went 2 weeks early because her scheduled date would have conflicted with her biological time schedule (hehe). She went in on a Wednesday and they did not have a problem with her being there early. I think you just received a standard answer they've been told to give if people call. Like everyone else said though, I wouldn't try as a walk-in on a Monday.

just go walk in, they wont send u home. as they said just avoid mondays.

It also depends on who you talk to on the phone. Not everyone understands the process. Therefore, you are more likely to get varied answers within every phase of the visa stage of the immigration process. It can be confusing and frustrating, but you will not have a problem being a walk-in as long as you have the fee, appointment letter, and IDs. As previously stated by a few of our members... AVOID MONDAY WALK-INS!

I would assume they would say NO since you called and ask them if you can get an early Medical.. See on the phone, Receptionist will follow protocol.

It is different when talking to them in person, they can't turn you away if your already there..

Filipinos are not so hard to talk to.. Just be nice, tell them that you came from a far place and just in need to get the medical over with..

Thanks for all the replies.

I have read in various threads where several of you said you are planning to go early in December instead of your scheduled date at the end of December. Please stop back on this thread and let us know how they reacted to you coming early. Good luck to everyone with upcoming medical exams and interviews.

Hello,

Just go ahead and take your medical exam, download your schedule from USEM website and bring it with you, together with your passport and medical fee in pesos also 2x2 pictures. Dont worry, the guard will let you in he will give you your number then, wait to be called, if the front desk ladies will ask about your appointment letter, tell them you are going to apply for pick-up (that window is also located in the ground floor) hand them all the requirements including the downloaded schedule.

Don't show them you are nervous because they are going to give you a hardtime. Ive done mine already with one of the vj member also, and thank God there is no problem at all.

Goodluck! Hope this helps.
